Just got the 27UP850 a couple weeks back and I'm in love. It perfectly complements my 14" MBP and prior to this monitor, I had an eleven year old 21.5" Samsung. Use it primarily for law school and it has a wonderful reader view for the same, which works well with warmer true tone settings on my ipad pro. The size of the monitor means that I don't have to use my ipad as an external display and instead as a complementary device where I do my annotations. Connected to my audioengines and polk audio subwoofer, movie nights are a damn blast. The USB-C connectivity is truly convenient and I don't have to mount and pack my charger every morning for work. I'm glad I went the 4k 60fps route instead of the 1440p 144hz Benq I was considering. Though the 120hz ProMotion refresh rate of the 14 MBP is not reflected in this monitor, the 4k resolution is said to be better for documents, productivity, and modern media viewing. I was not able to compare the two resolutions but this was a quick decision I had to make in the lack of resoruces in the Philippines.
This actually has been my everyday monitor for a year now! I loveeeee the picture on this thing, and the USB-C hub has made my ultimate "one cable setup" for my MacBook come true. 4K on 27 inches is fantastic too, and it's amazing for content creators by far. :')

I have the exact same model. I would strongly recommend it if you plan to use it with a MAC. But I have to say, I wouldn't recommend this for a windows user, or in fact any other 27inch 4k monitor since windows its still not working well with high dpi screens. (even virtual windows through parallels works better than native windows on a PC). If you have to go 4k windows - go for 32inches. In 2022 some windows apps (not just old ones) refuse to work properly under some dpi scaling settings. I don't remember if I was using 125 or 150% magnification, but only one of those 2 works well. I would say 27 -quad HD, 32 4K for windows from my testing.. No problem on a MAC.
I hope you do realise Mac can not scale to 4k at 27 inches. The output you see is 1440p that too with a lot of GPU power being consumed. Ever wondered why apple releases 5k & 6k monitors? Not the case with windows.

I have a Dell S2721Q 4K. I picked it up from my local IT shop. When I got home I found Dell had it on sale for $AUD100 cheaper but I was happy to support my local IT bloke. I got one of these from a friend who uses a monitor arm instead. I can't get the fancy stand to fit in. Something is blocking the fit at the bottom on the holes. I've considered taking the back cover off the monitor to see if I can make some adjustments but not until it is out of warranty.
Your channel is going crazy mate that's crazy! So happy to see that, because you deserve it. This is hands down one of the best tech channels on YT, thanks bud!
I’ve used this monitor for the past 10 months for video editing and as of late playing X-Plane 12 flight simulator using a 2023 MBP M2 pro. I really don’t have any complaints especially considering I paid well under $300 delivered. The PD isn’t going to fast charge a totally depleted laptop but definitely keeps you going indefinitely. They also make an identical model with higher PD output 96w 27UP850 for $369 as of 12/23
I have the LG 32UN880, quite a similar monitor but with the ergo stand, and 32 inch!! It is amazing, single usb-c cable, and great cable management. 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut, great display.
I have this monitor and think it's great. The only issue I have had is that if you run it at 4K resolution there is very little USB-C bandwidth available for the hub. A keyboard or mouse is fine, but I tried a USB 3 ethernet adapter and it just couldn't keep up (40Mbps on an 800Mbps connection).
I have the UP850W and its an amazing monitor. Having multiple HDMI inputs plus usb-c makes it perfect for my macbook setup. Its now the standard monitor I purchase for my employees. Only areas of improvement I would like is to have the input selection available at the front rather than hidden under the screen. Also a locking mechanism for the height adjustment would be good to as I have a video bar mounted on mine which slowly pushes it down. Finally, the speakers sound pretty ordinary. Either LG should improve them or take them out and give us a cheaper USB-C monitor. My 14” MBP speakers sound way better.
I bought the 27UP850 two months ago, return it and bought another one. Same issues with both: 1. IPS-glow is quite bad at lower corners (but MAYBE I can deal with it...) 2. I can't manage to output a 10-bit signal from my Mac mini M1: I tried connecting with USB-C, HDMI and USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable but with every connection Switchresx says that I'm displaying "millions of colors" (8 bit) and not billions (10bit). I know that they are not real 10bit colors, but even with FRC the difference should be visible. Do you manage to display billions of colors? 3. OnScreen Control is a nice feature: such a bad thing that it's still not fully compatible with Apple Silicon!! 4. It supports hardware calibration with many colorimeters, but the calibration with LG software is not reliable giving uneven gamma curve and not smooth gradients on my Mac M1. If you try with an Intel Mac it works better: WTF?? I'll probably buy an Asus PA279CV.
I bought 27inch ASUS ProArt PA278CV, I think it was good choice for my purse and my Mac Air M1... If you are coder who works on code editor for more than 8+ hours it would be good choice which I could also recommend! It's ergonomic and not overpriced budged monitor!
@@prashanth_nayak the one which I'm using has type-c, 2k monitor... It's been two weeks now I'm using it via it's type-c cable and it working perfectly fine so far.
I’m a designer and have been using the Apple thunderbolt 27” Display since it came on the scene. Great monitor with a built in camera. When I need a new one, I’ll look for a27” 4k to replace it. Apple might be coming out with new, more affordable ones, so I’m hopeful!
The overall experience with usb-c monitor needs to be addressed with an asterisk. There's an overall bandwidth limit to the display output and data transfer since it's basically a hub within the monitor. With one usb-c cable for external display and charging at the same time, the monitor will offer two modes for usb-c in OSD menu setting: high resolution or high data speed. If you choose high resolution, yes you can maintain 4k 60hz output, but the speed for other ports are limited to 2.0 rather than 3.0. And if your choose high data speed mode, data transfer speed will remain at 3.0 standard, whereas the display output will be downgraded to 4k 30hz. That's my experience with Dell's U2720Q. Considering the price range and build quality of my monitor and the LG one here, I don't think LG won't cut corners on this one in terms of ports speed and output profile. Just be careful when anyone is in need of a setup like this.
Is LG 27UP850 (a newer version of this) still a good pick for today? Another option is the Dell U2723QE, but ngl the price on LG is pretty tempting. Will mostly use it for web design and dev.
I use the LG IPS LED 22MP55 which is old and just 1080p and I have a MacBook so planning for a new 4k monitor but kind of out of budget, especially when you are a student and have loans to pay. So kind of happy with what I have right now!!!
I run a 34” ultra wide LG 4K monitor with my 2018 16” MacBook Pro and 2020 13.3” M1 MacBook Air. As well I extend the desktop to one of my 12.9” iPad Pro’s. Love all of the screen space.
34" monitors are not 4K. they are 1440P (3440x1440) same as a normal normal 2650x1440 but "wider". you can get a 32" 4K but not 34" wide screen. Even the 38" wide screen is 3840x1600 (not 3840x2160 which is 4K)
i bought the 27UK600N on sale for £249 here in the UK back in 2018. It's the same as the 27UK850N except uses a cheaper non adjustable stand (i put mine on a monitor arm), Does not include speakers ( i use headsets) and lacks the USB C input. I just have my consoles plugged into it and it works a treat. I do use the DP port for my PC but usually only play PCVR so not actually looking at the monitor as i have a headset on. It's a great all purpose screen but now with LG releasing the C1 OLED in 42" this year i might upgrade to that and use this only as a second screen in portrait mode for chats and the like. But if you are on a budget and have limited space these are pretty decent.
I don’t use a traditional monitor I use the Samsung 32” QLED Q50R tv as my monitor and it’s been great for media consumption and switching between my laptop and tablet. I know it’s not for everyone but I like it.
I'm using a Dell 2518D 2K monitor. I've had for quite a long time when I was still using Windows. It's not perfect for gaming and now it's not perfect for Mac either (no HiDPI support). However, it's still an amazing monitor to use for the next couple of years.
Dell U2518D would be perfect if it had usb type c, but again, not a deal breaker. I'm looking for a 2k monitor because 4k is a bit overkill for me (I do programming mostly)
Hi i have the UP model. Good monitor, The 96W charging over usb-c be careful, if you have a portable with a additional cpu, their is a chance that you will not be able to use usb-c without connecting a power adaptor, your portable is using more juice that it can deliver (my case my ZBOOK G5 15 workstation freezes and you hear continuous sound of device found disconnect). Also if your pc returns from sleep and your screen is sleeping, usb-c doesn’t wake up, only option is to toggle off screen and toggle on (moment lg turn on sound detection is back ok) -> windows only issue MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020, iPad Pro 2021 both work perfect with this screen and usb-c. What i find a disadvantage is that you cannot disable PD with usb-c.
I considered 27UP850 as well but went with U2723QE. My thought process: Why U2723QE is better? - IPS Black panel with doubled contrast ratio. - More and superior ports as USB hub. (I think 27UP850 only supports 4K60Hz with USB 2.0 speed?) - Built-in power supply. - Slightly more DCI-P3 coverage (98% vs 95% of LG) - Better design (to my eyes - not a fan of LG's curved base). - Displayport chaining and KVM (in case I need to use it with PC) Why 27UP850 is better? (and why they don't matter as much to me) - 96w power delivery over USB C (compared to 90w of Dell) - the difference is really small. - AMD Free Sync - I don't game. - Built in speaker - I heard quality is mediocre. - Lower listed price ($550 vs $780) - U2723QE is now on sale for $625, and Amex is offering $120 credit (valid before Apr 2), I actually got U2723QE at around $500.
I just bought the Samsung A800 monitor, which arrives tomorrow. 4K 27” USB-C IPS for $300. I love Samsung monitors and TV’s and this seemed like a killer deal. I hope it works out! Have you checked out this monitor? Opinions?
I am using a Samsung LS27A800U monitor - 4K, 27", 250 nit max And the brightness is the biggest downside of it. Barely usable, most of a sunny day. I am considering buying another monitor right now - either BENQ GW2790QT (350 nits) or MSI MAG 274QRFW (400 nit), both 1440p The issue with deciding between those two is that the first one directed for photo editing and coding, but somehow has only SRBB coverage, while the second one has P3 coverage, better brightness and much higher frame rate, but does not have some smart features and proper colour profiles built in. And yes, I am one of those wanting the white monitor, not a black one. Hard to decide between the last two because what I really want is a combination of best features from both, or at least a BENQ with proper colour gamut, but alas...
I have the 96W version. It's great overall for work and gaming 50/50, but HDR doesn't display some colors correctly, when plugged to my M1 Mac via USB-C, regardless of the color profile. While Xbox has no issues via HDMI.
does a 4K 27 inch monitor work great with windows scaling in 2024 or should I go for a QHD instead? It's for my dad and he'll probably need 200% scaling.
4k at 27 inches is where it’s at! I use dual Dell U2720Q’s on a dual monitor stand. 1440p at 27 inches just looks bad after years and years of staring at retina displays on MacBooks.
Yeah I have an LG similar-ish to this one (can’t remember the exact model, similar panel and design but not usb-c), and also a 1440p 2011 27” iMac. I still like the iMac display but after being used to same size 4K (and MacBook / iPad) it’s definitely noticeably low res.
I use the S2721QS. Obviously it is not the USB C version but I mainly use it with pc laptops and my m1 Mac mini. I also use it with a fire stick 4k and sometimes with my s21ultra through a display port to USB c cable. I paid 399 CAD.
1 question.... If i connect my laptop via USB C so will it automatically start charging my laptop or do i have to manually (or in settings) start it and if it's automatically can i stop it manually because I don't want to overcharge my laptop?🤔
While I find 4k overkill for a laptop, I think every monitor should be 4k, unless it's something use essentially for gaming. Even 1440p is too pixelated for text.
Do you have any problem with 4k scaling? Are everything is big enough to see or texts are so small? By the way what scaling do you use for your productivity? I want to buy this monitor for Logic pro … thanks for your video.
Hi. Would you still recommend this monitor in 2023, specifically for using with Mac Mini M2? What would be the other options? This is for a family computer, with some light creative work. Thanks
I got Asus ROG Strix XG27AQ monitor, with my MacBook Air M1 16/512. I love the colors of this display. I don't even play games with it that much. I use it mostly for coding. I'd like to have one more monitor with that 4k.
Since you’re so much into monitors could you suggest me one? After years of Windows I got myself an M1 Mac Mini which I use for photo and video editing(Lightroom, Resolve and graphic programs + some guitar recording). What would be a good 4K, color accurate 27”-ish monitor which is NOT curved with a normal 16:9/16:10 aspect ratio? Keep in mind that everything I own(smartphones, tvs and such) is OLED so I value deep blacks and rich colors.
I'm watching this video on 18 July 2024, about a week after my Dell P2721Q 4K monitor died (after working well for three and half years). I'm wondering if I should replace it with another Dell or perhaps an LG, possibly the one you're reviewing (or that you reviewed two years ago).
Hi man! If you could choose a monitor for photo/video editing, would you pick this LG 27UN850 or the Dell U2720Q? Spending daaaaaays watching videos and still not sure what to buy 😩
@@CreatedTech in what way is that one better? I read that the hertz setting is not possible with usb c and mac. (Will definitely check out your video tho!)
I'm going to buy this monitor, but its a different model. Instead of 60hz its 144hz. I'm assuming not much else is different about this version and the 144hz version, so I'm crossing my fingers it'll be just as good as this one. There are virtually zero reviews of the 144hz one, and I have no idea why. Maybe its a country exclusive kinda thing? For anyone curious, the monitor I'm getting is the "LG 27UQ750-W 27" 4K UHD 144Hz Business Monitor."
During black Friday I found a 27’ 100Hz 2k display, the perfect compromize ! For only 235€ ! Ive looked on amazon for hours, and I couldn’t find any better. I believe 2k is more than enough on a monitor, 4k is a little bit overkill and the 100 fps are a really nice add for games ^^
I just bought Dell U2723QE - this was released Feb 2022 with IPS Black tech and I can see the difference without testing gear etc and appreciate if you can buy one at 32inch and review it for us.(Side not - this is my 6th monitor I am buying and is almost perfect for me)
Great vid, I have the same monitor which I’m really pleased with, I use mainly for video/photo editing but I’m never sure what the best settings are for this, any suggestions?
I bought an Eve Spectrum 4K a few weeks ago, there have been a lot of shipping delays but hopefully will be getting it soon! Will try to have a review up ASAP.
great video, very funny how i was commenting on another youtube channel how I use my TV as my monitor becos monitors are more expensive than TV in my country Nigeria

@@erfannazarian I have good eyesight and sit pretty close to the monitor so I have no issues using it at 100%. The text is obviously smaller than a 1080p 25 inch monitor but I like it.
Hi, great video 👌 Do you think it will be a good idea to plug a Ethernet adapter on the back of the monitor (on a USB-A port) ? My Ethernet speed is currently under the gigabyte so I think I should not slow down the data. So I don’t have to buy a docking station.
Do you think the 95% DCI-P3 would be noticeably different on the UP over the UN? I ordered a UN but am wondering if I should cancel and reorder the UP? It's like $35 more and I honestly don't know if I need it or not.
If you don't know if you need it or not, you almost certainly don't need it. It's mostly designers or graphic artists that need high color accuracy. That being said from memory the UP has other slightly better features than the UN, so if it costs nothing and is easy to cancel and change to the UP, I'd do it.
Don’t know if you’ll see this but: On my Mac Mini I’m using a Full HD monitor from Dell which gives me a blurry font for some reason. Like, when I use the monitor with Window, the font looks pretty clear, but with the Mac Mini the font looks so fuzzy. I thought this was about the PPI or the font rendering in macOS but I’m unsure of what it really is and what I can do to have a better experience without expending a fortune. Thanks in advance!
Why not the LG 27UN880 ergo? Before there was only the 32 inch version and since last year there is also a 27 inch version. Is it worse than the UN850?
I still have my AOC gaming monitor on an arm stand but I rarely use it since switching over to the macbook pro 16 a couple months ago. I use it occasionally when a 2nd display works well but now I have a new 65 inch vizio tv where the smart cast and screen share works amazing from the mac.
Can I ask you I have a Apple Studio monitor and want to get a second monitor however don’t want to buy another Apple monitor. I intend to use the dual monitor for FCP one monitor for the footage and the other for the time line and editing. What do you recommend and should the Apple studio be used for the footage or fir the editing on the right side?

I bought 27inch ASUS ProArt PA278CV, I think it was good choice for my purse and my Mac Air M1... If you are coder who works on code editor for more than 8+ hours it would be good choice which I could also recommend! It's ergonomic and not overpriced budged monitor!
I am looking for Asus pro art . I don't think it has usb c port and it's not a 4k too. Is it a deal breaker ?
Got DELL S2722QC - IPS 4K USB C on sale for $360AUD, ticked most boxes for me and great monitor, been using it for 6 months now.
I am using LG 43UN700-B. Love the size and love the built-in USB hub.
Im using LG 27UP850 for me 16" M1 Max Macbook Pro....the screen is pretty nice!
Hi i have the UP model.
Good monitor,
The 96W charging over usb-c be careful, if you have a portable with a additional cpu, their is a chance that you will not be able to use usb-c without connecting a power adaptor, your portable is using more juice that it can deliver (my case my ZBOOK G5 15 workstation freezes and you hear continuous sound of device found disconnect).
Also if your pc returns from sleep and your screen is sleeping, usb-c doesn’t wake up, only option is to toggle off screen and toggle on (moment lg turn on sound detection is back ok) -> windows only issue
MacBook Pro 13 inch 2020, iPad Pro 2021 both work perfect with this screen and usb-c.
What i find a disadvantage is that you cannot disable PD with usb-c.
I considered 27UP850 as well but went with U2723QE. My thought process:
Why U2723QE is better?
- IPS Black panel with doubled contrast ratio.
- More and superior ports as USB hub. (I think 27UP850 only supports 4K60Hz with USB 2.0 speed?)
- Built-in power supply.
- Slightly more DCI-P3 coverage (98% vs 95% of LG)
- Better design (to my eyes - not a fan of LG's curved base).
- Displayport chaining and KVM (in case I need to use it with PC)
Why 27UP850 is better? (and why they don't matter as much to me)
- 96w power delivery over USB C (compared to 90w of Dell) - the difference is really small.
BUT…… the backlight bleeding on the DELL is much much worse than on the LG. This is a big issue for most people.
I just bought the Samsung A800 monitor, which arrives tomorrow. 4K 27” USB-C IPS for $300. I love Samsung monitors and TV’s and this seemed like a killer deal. I hope it works out! Have you checked out this monitor? Opinions?
I am using a Samsung LS27A800U monitor - 4K, 27", 250 nit max
And the brightness is the biggest downside of it. Barely usable, most of a sunny day.
I am considering buying another monitor right now - either BENQ GW2790QT (350 nits) or MSI MAG 274QRFW (400 nit), both 1440p
The issue with deciding between those two is that the first one directed for photo editing and coding, but somehow has only SRBB coverage, while the second one has P3 coverage, better brightness and much higher frame rate, but does not have some smart features and proper colour profiles built in.
And yes, I am one of those wanting the white monitor, not a black one.
Hard to decide between the last two because what I really want is a combination of best features from both, or at least a BENQ with proper colour gamut, but alas...
Congratulations for 150k+🎊🎉
I'm using a Huawei Mateview GT34 Ultrawide Curved monitor with 165hz. I love it!
I have the 96W version. It's great overall for work and gaming 50/50, but HDR doesn't display some colors correctly, when plugged to my M1 Mac via USB-C, regardless of the color profile. While Xbox has no issues via HDMI.
Awesome! I am considering this for work/gaming
BenQ EX2780Q. Found good deals on this 144hz monitor with the only noticeable sacrifice being a maximum of 2K resolution, if that's even a sacrifice.
@5:20 so you can connect your laptop to this monitor using USB-C and it will charge your laptop as well as output the video signal? This is amazing!
does a 4K 27 inch monitor work great with windows scaling in 2024 or should I go for a QHD instead?
It's for my dad and he'll probably need 200% scaling.
4k at 27 inches is where it’s at! I use dual Dell U2720Q’s on a dual monitor stand. 1440p at 27 inches just looks bad after years and years of staring at retina displays on MacBooks.
Yeah I have an LG similar-ish to this one (can’t remember the exact model, similar panel and design but not usb-c), and also a 1440p 2011 27” iMac. I still like the iMac display but after being used to same size 4K (and MacBook / iPad) it’s definitely noticeably low res.
Great video! What is that wallpaper!
I use the S2721QS. Obviously it is not the USB C version but I mainly use it with pc laptops and my m1 Mac mini. I also use it with a fire stick 4k and sometimes with my s21ultra through a display port to USB c cable.
I paid 399 CAD.
What would be a good monitor for media? Movies, 4k youtube. More interested in vibrant colors and stuff...
I use the lg 27un880 what do you think about that monitor? Is this one better I can still return mine.
It's almost exactly the same as this one, only significant difference is yours ships with a stand. I wouldn't return it.
@@CreatedTech Okay thanks for the response! I am a little bit scared I got a lot of ips glow? But I don't know what is normal and not...
i`m considering buying the LG 27UP850N-W. What are the differences and what do you think about it?
Great video, can you please do a video of best settings for MacBook setup and optimizations
Pretty in-depth good review, thanks
Which one better? LG 27UP850 or Dell U2720Q?
1 question.... If i connect my laptop via USB C so will it automatically start charging my laptop or do i have to manually (or in settings) start it and if it's automatically can i stop it manually because I don't want to overcharge my laptop?🤔
LG 24" borderless 1080P monitor
Price about 170 USD and around 12999 INR
I got Dell 2721DGF. Fantastic QHD monitor. It cost me only $360.
I have a Samsung LS27A70 27” 4K and it’s been great. It has HDMI and DisplayPort inputs not USB-c which is probably the only knock I have against it.
While I find 4k overkill for a laptop, I think every monitor should be 4k, unless it's something use essentially for gaming. Even 1440p is too pixelated for text.
Recently got Dell S2722QC usb-c 4K ips for only 450 AUD. YAAAAASSSSSS
What do you think about the new studio display? I had this LG monitor and the colors just don’t match the quality of apple displays.
I believe the UP850 is the only one that doesn't come with free sink is this true? Thanks Mate
Thanks
I'd still recommend it, get the latest UP version if you can.
What is the difference between LG 27UN850, UL850 and UP850. Thanks Mate
I got Asus ROG Strix XG27AQ monitor, with my MacBook Air M1 16/512. I love the colors of this display. I don't even play games with it that much. I use it mostly for coding. I'd like to have one more monitor with that 4k.
I just bought the asus proart 27 inch 4k. Just love it
Is it still worth it today in 2023 ? And how about 32 inch ?
Consider the U2723QE. I just made a video on it. It’s a better/updated version of the U3720Q.
@@CreatedTech in what way is that one better? I read that the hertz setting is not possible with usb c and mac. (Will definitely check out your video tho!)
@@larissavanhooren Better colors, connectivity, and features.
It really seems to be a nice deal, thanks for pointing it out!
Where did you get that light bar for your monitor . Thanks Mate
Does the newer UP version has an actual 10-bit display? since it also supports 95% P3
Is this a good moniotr for Photography and video color grading ?
Did u test the new dell ultra sharp monitors? they look amazing
Are the speakers loud enough for video calls when there is background fan noise present?
Is it low blue light certified or not
What resolution it will pick if you choose "Default for Display"?
During black Friday I found a 27’ 100Hz 2k display, the perfect compromize ! For only 235€ ! Ive looked on amazon for hours, and I couldn’t find any better. I believe 2k is more than enough on a monitor, 4k is a little bit overkill and the 100 fps are a really nice add for games ^^
@buildermaster07 which model? Thanks
@@dusanilic3483 it's an Itek QHD 100Hz 27'
Thank you, I found this very useful. I would like to edit 10bit videos on my monitor so is arc a no no?
Great overview! I have an Apple iMac 5k 27 inch late2014. What cable would I need to use this monitor as a second display? Thx!
Do you ever point to sources for some of the great wallpaper you use?
If I'm not in need of a USB-C option, is this monitor still worth what it costs?
I'm using a Studio Display with Adjustable Stand.
I just bought Dell U2723QE - this was released Feb 2022 with IPS Black tech and I can see the difference without testing gear etc and appreciate if you can buy one at 32inch and review it for us.(Side not - this is my 6th monitor I am buying and is almost perfect for me)
Whats your previous monitor?
Hey Liam, could you do a video on using an old iMac as a monitor. I would like to see what you think of it.
Great vid, I have the same monitor which I’m really pleased with, I use mainly for video/photo editing but I’m never sure what the best settings are for this, any suggestions?
What is your macbook model?
That pricing surprised me, it looks about $60. Scalpers have moved on to make monitors I guess.
Do you have a specific 27” 4k you recommend for the M1 IMac as a second monitor? Same as a MacBook?
hey, its out of topic, but can you make a video about your m1 macbook battery health change over time
A word to our sponsor “butt slap” killed me!
Would love to get your review on the Eve Spectrum!
Been thinking on pairing it with my M1 Max, saw some people getting 4K/144Hz with it on eve's forum
I have the 27UP850, it's great. I use it at 100% scaling because I love the screen real estate :D
Do you have any problem with 4k scaling? Are everything is big enough to see or texts are so small? By the way what scaling do you use for your productivity? I want to buy this monitor for Logic pro … thanks for your video.
@@erfannazarian I have good eyesight and sit pretty close to the monitor so I have no issues using it at 100%. The text is obviously smaller than a 1080p 25 inch monitor but I like it.
Hi, great video 👌
Do you think it will be a good idea to plug a Ethernet adapter on the back of the monitor (on a USB-A port) ?
Don’t know if you’ll see this but:
On my Mac Mini I’m using a Full HD monitor from Dell which gives me a blurry font for some reason.
I have the LG UN880-B Ergo 32" 4k and a HP 1440P as a 2nd monitor
Why not the LG 27UN880 ergo? Before there was only the 32 inch version and since last year there is also a 27 inch version. Is it worse than the UN850?
I still have my AOC gaming monitor on an arm stand but I rarely use it since switching over to the macbook pro 16 a couple months ago. I use it occasionally when a 2nd display works well but now I have a new 65 inch vizio tv where the smart cast and screen share works amazing from the mac.
Using 2 ASUS PB287Q
Just bought a Samsung M7 for the 32" and HDR (found it at ½ price)
Can I ask you I have a Apple Studio monitor and want to get a second monitor however don’t want to buy another Apple monitor. I intend to use the dual monitor for FCP one monitor for the footage and the other for the time line and editing. What do you recommend and should the Apple studio be used for the footage or fir the editing on the right side?
I use the Gigabyte M28U and I like it pretty well
How is the text quality if we scale it to 1080p resolution for bigger text? Is text quality still sharp or blurry?
Have this monitor. Love it.
