*Your teaching lessons have been very beneficial to our son **Childent.Study** We started using your lessons to teach him at 18 months. We taught him slowly until he's solid with each lesson before moving onto the next. Now at 2 1/2 years, he can read over 800 words. Thank you for such a great program.*

This ELT training video by Ray Mackay has, I assume, tremendously succeeded in addressing some very important usual classroom teaching of English in India. It dwells extensively on the essence of using rhymes to teach language to young learners, which can be a real challenge for all teachers. The key characteristics of rhymes and the significance of introducing them at an early age have been dealt with extensively and I’m sure teachers are going to benefit a lot from it.

There needs to be books for your children that don't have pictures in them just straight text. Pictorial causes children to comprehend through photos not reading. I agree with your method.

In 1975 There was a Royal Commission into literacy in the UK. It found that every method of reading instruction has worked and every method has failed. The Bullock Report's closing chapter says that the key ingredient is an enthusiastic teacher who is organised and determined to see her children succeed. Children learn to read despite methods. However the Bullock report singled out "cuh uh tu" spells cat etc is a nonsense and should be avoided at all costs.

i usually did this in my college class. it works so much
until i find myself to teach esl students in junior high, and it really doesnt work any at all in low achiever students
they dont want to cooperate since they dont understand the meaning if they read it silently in individual
