    People are so pathetically scared to say anything to anybody now. I know perfectly well that I am overweight but even my own doctor wouldn't say it. After he'd "ummed" and "aahhed" for about 5 minutes trying to find some other word I finally snapped and said "FAT! You mean I'm fat!" He was horrified and then started trying to tell me I shouldn't say that. About myself? God give me strength.

      The issue is a person cannot be "fat"... "Fat" is lipid tissue.
      When a person has excessive lipid tissues that person is obese.
      We have different words, with different meanings...for a reason.

      See... Now that's the problem...
      You were not "fat".
      Your body had stored too much fat. A person who's body has too much lipid tissue (fat) is considered to be obese.
      Obese doesn't mean fat and fat doesn't mean obese...
      The problem is too many seemingly intelligent people have been using these words as synonyms.

    One thing that they say is its ok to shame people if they're obese to lose weight. Well, I believe thats one of the problems, because I've seem people on social media who are becoming fat as BBWs and they say they used to be slim and gained weight but wanted to slim down, and because people were shaming them they decided instead to shame them by becoming fat models, and some are even becoming like 600 pounds, or more close to 45 stone models! 😮 I don't think we should shame people!

    What has this country come to. Maybe a little bit of self loathing would help people lose weight. We need to stop glorifying failure in any sense. If your genetics mean you have to eat less and exercise more than someone else, that's not a disability, that's life. I'm not as intelligent as my mate so I have to study 2x as much as he does, doesn't make me a victim with no options to compete and better myself...Good lord

    • @JustAnotherPerson4U
      @JustAnotherPerson4U ปีที่แล้ว

      I think statistics show that self-loathing does the OPPOSITE to what you're saying.
      I mean, it's all very good to tell people to suck it up and eat less and differently if you want to lose weight and essentially not be ugly in my eyes.
      Because let's face it. Fat people are treated like that. They're treated like eyesores.
      Think about WHY these self-loathing people might turn to food rather than turn to someone like you. Well, food doesn't judge them. Food makes them feel better. It doesn't determine your value based on how attractive you are to strangers.
      The brain isn't wired to GET A GRIP. The brain is naturally wired to protect ourselves and seek comfort.
      Think about that. Every time you shame someone for being fat or overweight, you're just pushing them towards food more.
      Obviously some people do react differently. But generally people do not just stop something because they're shamed for it. It makes them turn to it more except usually in secret.

    • @frankieasabove2782
      @frankieasabove2782 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @JustAnotherPerson nobody talks about shaming people but you've got to call a spade a spade. If you're fat, you're fat. You're not "weight challenged". I don't understand why people have to moderate the way they speak because someone doesn't look after themselves. And that goes for everything. So be fat if you want to be fat but don't bring your political correctness to me. You know what causes damage to fat people? Slapping other fat people on covers of magazines and celebrating their unhealthy lifestyle because "you've got to love yourself, you are what you are" and all that other malarkey. And maybe the brain isn't wired to "get a grip" and that's why there's a top 1% in everything bring hated by the remaining 99% that can't hack it. And that goes for money, fitness, travelling, everything...

    I don't think people need to be shamed for being any weight or size. I think there should be more self love and practical help for people who struggle. I think it's more harmful to shame people because when someone feels bad it makes them turn to food or other comforts etc... I think there should also be more healthy options that are not so expressive then people would have more choices. I personally don't think a jab is the answer it's more people need some plans to help with eating healthy and the cost of that, do more feel good things like exercise, crafts etc...also look at the underlining course of someone struggling weather it be medication causing weight problems, genetic or emotional.

    If the drug causes food to move more slowly through the digestive system...and the food is made from artificial ingredients... What are the potential dangers of having the gut and intestines exposed to these substances for longer than the body's own naturL process would allow for?
    Surely that is where the pain comes from?
    If you are constipated... You "feel full" and are unlikely to feel particularly hungry.
    As for appetite suppression... Thats a different story. If one is addicted to highly processed foods with rapidly absorbable refined sugars...then appetite suppressants might help beat that addiction... But for emotional disorders which result in excessive eating (even of healthy foods)... Appetite suppressants might do more harm than good.
    Really what needs research is a drug which resets the brains addiction pathways...
    There are some candidates already...
    Ibogaine for example.
