Met Manson in 97. Was in the Army and found out they were playing in Atlanta. The club posted Wednesday was the concert. I called ahead of time and the club told me the Manson concert was Tuesday. I was like oh shit. I kept quiet. The day of the concert. There was only 20 people max who showed up. The concert promoter was pissed off and I could hear him yell at the club owner. Anyway. Helmet played and I was a big fan. The whole time the crowd yelled Manson, Manson. During meantime. The lead singer of Helmet yelled. Fuck you! He kicked a amp off the stage and left. Manson came out played. It was fucking awesome. I was 23 at the time. After the concert my friends and I met Manson. He asked if I was in the army. I told him yes. He licked the side of my face and then Saluted me. Lol. Totally cool night.

Now that I'm an adult I judge characters very differently and I'm curiously attracted to what most of us would call "weird" individuals The only rock band i love listening to is ACDC (other than them i just can't like any other rock artist), yet, unexpectedly, I'm fascinated by Marilyn Manson. She also mentioned wanting to break her mold, and Manson being the perfect person.
I believe she sought him out. It’s where they met.
She was a star herself by that point. She had been a Hollywood darling since 13. She was at the Chateau for a party when HE approached her to talk about a movie he saw her in. That said, I think she's been radicalized into believing she's a massive victim when the truth is she made bad choices she now regrets
