Your lip issue is actually a bacterial infection. My daughter gets it every winter as well. You need to use something like Bacitracin ointment on it. The reason it comes in winter is that your lips get chapped from the cold, then that creates little microscopic cuts, and bacteria starts to grow. If you just put regular lip balm on it, it is only a very temporary help, then it comes right back, as the bacteria is still there. It is related to Cheilitis.
Fleur for your lips see a dermatologist, I have similar reactions and was told it is contact dermatitis. Simply you're probably allergic to something you're using, I've had issues with toothpastes in the past. I was prescribed hydrocortisone cream to apply to the area.

i love british homes. they are so much more different than those in america. the old fashion detail and how closed off each room is, is stunning. in america, a lot of homes have an open floor plan and with that, i feel as you can’t make each room their own if everything it’s technically one room. definitely excited to see what the kitchen looks like in the end!

When you first showed your kitchen I literally gasped, the light gray was so beautiful. The darker color is stunning as well, my style preference just much preferred that light gray with the marble counter. Airy, timeless, and beautiful!

Try La Roche Posay Cicaplast for lips. I had similar dryness on my lips and it was the only thing that helped heal the dryness and reduce the irritation on my lips and around the lip borders. I also have to avoid most high street lip balms post recovery. It’s as if I developed an allergy to them. I used Lanolips 101 ointment in conjunction for deep hydration. Hey Fleur, I've seen articles saying that services like Hello Fresh can actually help with waste, even though it seems like you are using more plastic. The reason being you get exactly what you need and it reduces both food and packaging waste through reducing the over all amount you bring into your home 😊 of course it's not perfect, but don't be too hard on yourself for using it! You're doing your best 💖
You need a good cream for those lips, forget the lip balm. I get sometimes the same thing but usually on the sides of the mouth. Use Avene Cicalfate restorative skin cream, it will solve the problem in 2 days
Never too early to wrap! I had all mine wrapped and ready to go under the tree for the day we put it up 😂 lessens the chance of someone accidentally seeing what they are getting

But basically Vaseline is brilliant (non scented) and so is the La Roche Possay Cicaplast lip salve, so thick and it’s not perfumed etc. Any perfume or essential oil will normally make lips worse in the long run, even if they feel better immediately after applying.
another good option which was recommended to me by my pharmacist is nipple cream (lanolin). I find it works better than vaseline as it‘s thicker in consistency and more soothing 👍
Vaseline does actually help in the winter as it acts as a barrier. It doesn’t provide as much moisture as the other lip salve mentioned but it stops them being dried out further by the cold weather etc. A lot of lip balms that are for sale give you that addictive instant feeling of it making your lips feel better but in the long run actually makes them worse because they irritate your lips, especially the ones that feel cooling.
