There's nothing quite like the sound of the crossplane engine in the Yamaha R1. In the last video, I finally gave my 2020 Yamaha R1 the exhaust it deserves. We installed the SC Project CR-T titanium exhaust and it sounds insane! One of the best exhausts I've heard. Quite loud haha. Time to take this thing out for a test ride, though, and see how it sounds on the street! Thanks to the guys over @MotovationUSA who set me up with this exhaust!

As a huge Moto GP fan I’ve had the luck of going to multiple MotoGP evens in Spain ,i can tell you it has a similar rumble to the Yamaha but the actual loudness of the bike is nowhere close! Awesome bike!

I would prefer a decent muffler over the CR-T “can” but it does still sound pretty nice. I would have this over the S1K any day.

i installed full EvO aAkrapovic on my CBR-RRR with no Flash now im getting the engine and lost power while riding( my bike cut out) becarefull with this new bikes! i had to install stock exhaust back on and wait till the tune is ready

Coolness! I’m old so I get to say old man stuff... I have tinnitus and it’s a bitch. Btw on the r1 and I’m not familiar with 2020 model but I do know Yamaha. As part of a full exhaust and remap, don’t you want to also pull out all that emissions air intake plumbing and replace with block off plates? You’re letting it breath out, now let it breath in.

Not a fan of the sound of your R1. My SC Project sounds good on my Street Triple with a power commander though.

Block off plates will help with the back firing as well as when it is getting tuned.
Sucks can not flash it yet but im sure it wont be long
I believe tuners can switch off the EGR without the need for block off plates.
When I made the modification to an Austin Racing exhaust I felt like it was lighter as well as faster so I feel like the restriction was so massive that it increases the power a bit. With the stock exhaust after riding on a hot day, the bike struggled hard to start. I had to wait a bit before I can start her up again. I also notice that the start-up is lazy compared to other bikes. You should do a start-up comparison and you can clearly hear how Yamaha's R1 start-up sound lazy.

Sounds great, but doesn't sound like a Ducati. More like a V4 Aprilia if anything
The sound on video is a bit different than in person. It sounds really similar to the 1299 I rode before.

I have a 2018MT10 with Woolich race tune which seems mental tbh. This stock is SO MUCH faster. I can tell just on video 😂

With all due respect, aren't these gp style exhausts, which are effectively straight through pipes, a nuisance for your neighbours and in the city? I've had unpleasant experiences with loud bikes going by my house where the entire house would shake. Which sounds greet, but it isn't. No?

What’s the bikes temperature looking like? The other day on stop and go traffic my temp. hit 230 F, i kinda freaked out a bit, is that normal on these r1’s?

If it were running lean it'd blow up. Its too rich, which is where the pops come from. Block off plates will fix it
I don't know if I am the only one but, I don't really like the sound of the crossplane R1, and I hate the Panigale sound too
Sounds great but I'd have to hear it in person to get the real sound. Running akrapovic on my R1 I'd have to see what even compares.

Not yet.
Without ecu flash you can get 5 to 8 hp only by decating it.
Let us get a pure sound video with back to back R1 and S1000RR. All exhaust sound videos are my favorite. Amazing content as always.
