@@JackReacts904 They're not very hard to learn! The notes correlate to the piano and they go A,B,C,D,E,F,G and back to A. and then the numbers are the octave. So, for example, the one I said, the G5 (the big note she did on the "way,") is G in the 5th octave. And then # means sharp so its C sharp 5 (C#5), and then the ♭ symbol means falt. B flat 5 (B♭5)

They asked her to write this song for a movie soundtrack called Hero for a singer called Gloria Estefan. So Mariah walked out to her room and the melody came to her instantly. Then her manager told her to keep the song for herself. This live version is more vocally challenging than the studio recording because when Mariah wrote the song she tried to keep it in a comfortable key for Gloria Estefan.

At her peak era, light tone with resonance, powerfull, clear intentional vocal break. she plays with her whisper notes at the begining and then she jump up to high pleasure notes at climax with pretty natural fast melisma, the vocal transition always on point. She made this vocal suicide so effortless and pleasure to hear. Imagine at that year instrument had same quality with technology suport like nowdays

Mariah actually wrote this song for Gloria Estefan to sing and wasn't too fond of it, but her management thought that it was too good to give to another artist and convinced her to keep it for herself, which turned out to be a great decision, because it's one of her most easily recognized international hits that she sings in all of her concerts and tours in her hopes of helping her fans in her audience who need it.

When Mariah was struggling to make it in the music biz, she was hired as a backup singer for Brenda K. Starr. Can you imagine, Mariah... a backup singer?!
