I have a fridge magnet that says "oatmeal raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies from a distance is why I have deep rooted trust issues" LOL Don't get me wrong, I love a really chewy, loaded oatmeal raisin, but not when I've hyped my mouth up for chocolate chip.

My favorite breakfast casserole is: Brown hash browns and put on the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. Next layer is cubed cooked ham, sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Mix 10 eggs with 2 cups of half and half and salt and pepper and more cheese sprinkled on top. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. This is a great base, too. Replace ham with sausage, add onions, jalapeno, any kind of peppers, etc. It is delicious.

I make a breakfast casserole with cooked hashbrowns on the bottom, then I put raw eggs mixed with milk, seasonings, and green chilies, then add some cooked bacon and cheese on top. Pop in the oven.
Cucumber melon was also my middle school scent. If I smell it now it transports me.

And the cucumber melon scent was such a staple at bath and body works. I had a roller ball glitter perfume in that and the country apple scent. Secretly wish they’d bring that back haha

Hey Kim mace is the outer covering of a nutmeg it’s smell and taste is almost similar to nutmeg. We use it in Indian cooking. Specially desserts

Our go to that the kids like is fettuccine Alfredo made with mushrooms, chicken, shrimp. We make the sauce with butter, salt and pepper, fresh grated parmesam cheese and heavy cream 😋😋😋

when your hashbrowns are really frosty just run them under some water to remove the frost, then use as usual..
When I did food prep in the food industry I was taught to cut both ends of a melon first then put it on its flat end and trim off the rest of the outer layer. After that cut down the middle, scoop out the seeds nd then slice and dice. Hope that made sense

Mace is a very hard to find spice. McCormick makes it in a the tiny little containers. check online and see if you can find it. I find it very rarely and it's pretty expensive but it's a necessary ingredient for some recipes.
You should try making Anzac biscuits Kim! They’re an Aussie staple cookie, so much so that it’s actually illegal here to change the recipe. They’re soooo good.

I've had recipes call for a bit of apple cider vinegar in the almond milk and let sit for 5 min to let it 'curdle'. I think that was in place of butter milk.

Slap those frozen potatoes on the counter a couple times before you open them. It will break it up so you can use them or microwave for 5 or 6 min.
OMG Kim I just made those double choc chip muffins!!! What a coincidence they are really good, BUT, I had such a hard time because I used the "actual" recipe. MIne was so thick lolol. I need to NOT do exactly what they say yours came out perfect. I also made home made whipped frosting from cream with powdered sugar. YUM!!! I forgot to mention I made them the day before this video posted :)

Mace is the out shell of nutmeg. It's a bit spicier than nutmeg. You can use nutmeg as an equal replacement. People who follow the autoimmune protocol diet can't eat nutmeg and use mace as a replacement.

And it’s a bit like the tags on the cutting boards and wooden spoons, the tiny hand and the Nicholas Cage pillow - part of the charm and the schtick . I doubt her oven only works at 411! But it’s funny! Like Minnie Pearl’s tags or Jack Benny’s violin.
I also have an oven where the zero doesn’t work. So I set my temps at 351 or 411 (instead of 350 or 400). I thought I was the only one until I saw Kim. And while I’m sure she could get a new stove/oven, if everything else works fine, and making this small adjustment is all you need to do, and food is still ok, why add more crap to the landfills. I’m keeping mine until it dies completely
Grandma always said to smell the melon at the store. The stronger the smell, the better if you are cutting into it right away. I do get some funny looks in the store, though .....

I’m the type of person that would think “oh I’m out of vanilla extract, it won’t taste right if I don’t have vanilla” and just not make the recipe. My goal this year is to become more easy-going like Kim because chances are things in life will turn out just fine 🥰

So we had high expectations. I enjoyed the Aladdin remake, the lion king not so much.
