Edge 30 user here. LOVE the battery life on it. Consistently get 7 hours SoT and with good management, it can go up to 9 hours. But the 3.5mm dongle issue IS something I'm facing and I hope Moto fixes it.

I have always been a fan of Motorola since Og RAZR. I have owned Razr v3, L7, Droid 2, Droid XT912 which was my last Motorola phone. I was so excited when i saw the news of a proper Motorola flagship launch with edge 30 ultra and ordered it as soon as the sale went live for 52.5K after discount and its a steal at that price. Your review is on point and the only issue right now is with recording videos as i can also see the frames dropping while trying to record videos and it can be fixed with an update hopefully soon.
I bought this phone and moved from K20 Pro to this and I am really happy with clean software and smooth UI experience. I think it is great alternative instead of other chinese brands and has best android experience similar if not better than Samsung flagships.
Battery life is decent and will last you for whole day for a moderate usage with 20-30% battery left , also charging speeds are really impressive takes around 40 min to fully charge from 0-100%
I am using motorola edge 30 ultra from past 10 days. Few bugs I found 1. It slows down and jitters when I am taking a video call either on teams/whatsApp and try to come to home screen to access any other app 2. Sbi card app on this phone always crashes 3. When 200 mp photo is taken ui lags quite a bit when trying to open the photo from camera app 4. Mis touches on the edge when using the camera app 5. Finger print authentication on hdfc app is not working 6. When there is a message/notification on the status bar while trying to authenticate any app via fingerprint, ui is unresponsive/not recognising the finger print. Not sure if it is just my unit. Overall experience is pretty good except these few software bugs
The Snap 8+gen1 supports a max resolution of 200MP, while the Motorola uses 16384×12288 = 201.3MP. So that those 200MP lag might just be because it's 1.3MP above what the CPU supports. The first problem might get fixed though.
I personally don't believe, pushing an update as soon as possible is good with all brands. I've seen Samsung phones, giving updates really quick but are buggy for weeks, and have also seen Motorola give updates a month or 2 later but still be as consistent as before sometimes even better.
Nice review. Please keep us posted about the USB-C to 3.5 dongle issue. I am planning to buy this phone and also I own a few high res IEMs (which will require a dongle)
@@gauravg3541 I think in the review what Ershad was using a shanling dongle which has a inbuilt high-res dac. It's not working. Now it might be an issue with his particular device or entire lineup in general 😂. Not sure how to check that. It's not like Motorola has physical stores where we can go and check.
Hi. Edge 30 user here. I have a 7Hz Dioko IEM that I connected using the Samsung USB-C dongle and the IEM volume is quite low. I have to turn up the volume all the way up to have a normal listening experience. Definitely something to be worried about if you're gonna use IEMs via dongles with this phone.

Was thinking about buying moto but in the recent sale I got Xiaomi 12 pro for 36k with exchange offer and I'm loving each and everything it provides, especially its display and sound quality. Although not that much happy with its battery endurance.
To all the prospective buyers... The things you need to know about edge 30 ultra especially for camera as i purchased for only it's camera... Is that photos are hit and miss type....meaning sometime it took detailed shots and sometimes it blurry... 😂 Photos in artificial light and night time are bad... And by bad I mean details missing and blurred... Samsung s22 is good option if you are considering for camera phone... Also... Stock Android is pain.... No proper floating windows, no internet speed meter, no customisation... For all these you need third party apps...😂 Think about these if you are interested in buying Motorola.
I know its been a year but I just saw that the telephoto camera of Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in the video is shown to have f/1.6 aperture but actually it has f/2.6 aperture. Great Video by the way.

5G working mighty fine on Edge 30 ultra.. almost touched 700mbps on ookla. Still no Android 13 but 12 is running super smooth so I don't mind it at all 😅

@@chandubodapati700 my phone can give constant 45 plus fps in genshin impact at full graphics. Will lose at 25% battery for an hour of play. I can also charge my phone while playing. Phone will feel warm but nothing alarming. 6 hours + sot at normal usage 120hz dynamic+ 2k res + dark mode. What i feel is that some 8 gen 1 runs cooler than others i can run antutu 3 times in a row and still my score will be 9.3 lak and my best score is 10.2 (128/8 model ) lak my stability in wildlife extreme 3D is 70% which is better than edge 30 ultra. It all depends on your luck when it comes to 8gen1.
Xiaomi is anyday better than RealMe. The optimisation is way better on Xiaomi. The diff you got on GT 2 pro during the sale is huge but a lot of people are complaining about the heating and over heating as well. RealMe kind of forgot about their flagship.

He was surprised to see the rear camera performance of my Motorola E40 again his Redmi Note 10 or note 10 pro.. He genuinly told that My camera was better than his camera.. We were clicking selfies with the back camera in Low light which I prefer... And he was surprised to see the camera performance of Motorola E40... By the way the case for foreign youtubers is same even the camera performance is better their. And when I watched them i was shocked to see huge difference. If I say the foreign version is noticeably better then the Indian one
Loving the device.. However I do faced one time phone stuck issue (i am a heavy user -16 hours a day like ) other than that one time camera UI got frozen ,was not able to click picture .. Apart from these two..no bugs or anything..

Pixel Cera are not hit or miss unlike moto edge 30 ultra.. That is one reason I don't want to leave pixel.. Only thing that I am not happy about is 21w charging.. The SoT also touches 9 hrs in pixel 7.. (Without extreme battery saving) Apart from gaming you will not feel the difference between the latest sd processor and pixel 7.. Google makes sure they compensate with software for hardware..
Recently brought the moto edge 30 ultra and really liked your detailed review. Happy with the performance however I am facing an issue in network connectivity as the call gets disconnected every now and then... I have reset the network settings but still have similar issues. Secondly while testing compati for 5G network it says software not updated. Please suggest if there are any fixes for these issues.
I got my Motorola Edge 30 ultra on 2 days before. Very Happy with the performance so far. My Handset reached 1 million in Antutu Score and thanks for letting me know it has 576 Touch Sample Rate. I thought it was 360 Hz. Anyways good comparison and waiting for OTA update from motorola for 5G and Camera enhancement.
In Amazon there is kinsound 3.5 mm converter which works perfectly fine in my edge 30 ultra i have tried couple of others like Vivo or one plus one . None of them works but with this i would say sound output is super good.
If for gaming go fo iphone 13,if for latest chip and display go for edge ultra,if for multimedia consumption like netlfix hdr 2k display go for xaiomi 12 pro

Everyone is waiting for 256GB variant. That's the major difference between Samsung, apple vs moto. Why they think that Indians don't want 256GB ? Because if a person spends 50k he can happily spend another 5k for 256GB given the 200MP mode takes single photo of 80MB. BAD MARKETING by Motorola. I am personally waiting for 256GB variant to buy.
edge 30 ultra vs iPhone 13? Considering the 10k difference is not a big deal since there are extra software updates in iPhone. Had a really bad experience with Lenovo Z2 plus with a pathetic software update that crippled the device. That curved screen lures me but my bad experience is resisting that urge
NYC review, just to add one important information about motorola edge 30 ultra, it's not compatible with Vodafone for upi id, it's hardware issue as I went for replacement for this issue but they told only option if facing this issue is refund.

I know s22 ultra is on another level but now his price is 1000 pounds in uk, 1060 with 512 gb and 12 ram. Meantime this motorola is 640 from 899 3 weeks ago. Hi Ershad great video once again, Got 2 questions 1st can the camera be compared to other greats such as iPhone and Samsung 2nd does the curved display coz any problems during gaming #bgmi and does constant gaming heat up the phone or makes it throttle.
Moto edge 30 ultra takes photos of human subjects better than iphone 14. But when it comes to low light photos and video stabilization, iphone is better

I hope you're doing well, I was looking to buy a new phone mostly under 40k I was considering Motorola edge 30 fusion or Samsung Galaxy S21Fe or save some bucks and settle for the Nothing phone 1 I really liked the Motorola edge 30 fusion. But then there's Motorola edge 30 ultra which is kinda tempting me. So basically I wanted to ask you that is it worth to get moto edge 30 ultra with putting almost 15 to 20k extra (considering all the features and the future android updates) or should I rather try to stick with moto edge 30 fusion. Also I am concerned about the acessiblty of service centers for Motorola.
Have been using this phone for the past few days... absolutely love the software experience... though a bit disappointed with the cameras....as mentioned in the video...i am a bit concerned that usb c to 3.5 mm converters are not being recognised...i prefer wired earphones over bluetooth ones...hope this is fixed.
I ordered Moto edge 30 fusion launched on 22 sep, Order placed ,processed and dispatched , but till date it is not shipped. Reason words as per flipkart: Unforeseen issues of logistic, thats it. And its been 20 days. No solution.
Motorola should work on more AOD designs, its just basic now. Update cycle is still bad. Also they should work more on camera, especially in low light and video recording. Apart from this, Moto has one of the best build quality and call quality.

@@chandubodapati700 my phone can give constant 45 plus fps in genshin impact at full graphics. Will lose at 25% battery for an hour of play. I can also charge my phone while playing. Phone will feel warm but nothing alarming. 6 hours + sot at normal usage 120hz dynamic+ 2k res + dark mode. What i feel is that some 8 gen 1 runs cooler than others i can run antutu 3 times in a row and still my score will be 9.3 lak and my best score is 10.2 (128/8 model ) lak my stability in wildlife extreme 3D is 70% which is better than edge 30 ultra. It all depends on your luck when it comes to 8gen1.
Xiaomi is anyday better than RealMe. The optimisation is way better on Xiaomi.
The diff you got on GT 2 pro during the sale is huge but a lot of people are complaining about the heating and over heating as well.

However I do faced one time phone stuck issue (i am a heavy user -16 hours a day like ) other than that one time camera UI got frozen ,was not able to click picture ..
Apart from these two..no bugs or anything..
That camera issue is because of accidental touches on the edges. They have not yet implemented accidental touch prevention in the camera app

Recently brought the moto edge 30 ultra and really liked your detailed review. Happy with the performance however I am facing an issue in network connectivity as the call gets disconnected every now and then... I have reset the network settings but still have similar issues.
Secondly while testing compati for 5G network it says software not updated.
Please suggest if there are any fixes for these issues.
For 5g, your device needs an update so that you can enjoy 5g ... Moto is said to have released the update so wait till you get the update

I got my Motorola Edge 30 ultra on 2 days before. Very Happy with the performance so far. My Handset reached 1 million in Antutu Score and thanks for letting me know it has 576 Touch Sample Rate. I thought it was 360 Hz. Anyways good comparison and waiting for OTA update from motorola for 5G and Camera enhancement.

In Amazon there is kinsound 3.5 mm converter which works perfectly fine in my edge 30 ultra i have tried couple of others like Vivo or one plus one . None of them works but with this i would say sound output is super good.

Had a really bad experience with Lenovo Z2 plus with a pathetic software update that crippled the device. That curved screen lures me but my bad experience is resisting that urge
NYC review, just to add one important information about motorola edge 30 ultra, it's not compatible with Vodafone for upi id, it's hardware issue as I went for replacement for this issue but they told only option if facing this issue is refund.

I know s22 ultra is on another level but now his price is 1000 pounds in uk, 1060 with 512 gb and 12 ram. Meantime this motorola is 640 from 899 3 weeks ago. With samsung is huge discount almost 300 pounds , but is it worth it for a person like me to spend 400 more on the s22 ultra?

2nd does the curved display coz any problems during gaming #bgmi and does constant gaming heat up the phone or makes it throttle.

Motorola should work on more AOD designs, its just basic now. Update cycle is still bad. Also they should work more on camera, especially in low light and video recording. Apart from this, Moto has one of the best build quality and call quality.
