Fantastic video, papa. I just picked up on a SRT-4, and I’m at the point where I’m having to put on the timing belt, but it was kicking my ass. Seeing your video, I’m about to shower and hit it again, so I can get this girl running. I subscribed by the way. You’re a god send, hermano. Much love from SoCal.
That's what I'm talking about, every other video I saw everyone is removing axles, transmission mount, moving engine to the right just to do timing and I had a feeling I could do it without removing all of that stuff.
Hey thanks for the video I find it's really helpful. You make it look easy. I'm sure I'll have trouble lol. Anyways what silicone did you use on the water pump gasket and seal? Is it just silicone grease? Thanks again.
@@PJBWERKZ ah gotcha! I figured it out after I went out and looked at it. Any tips/advice on how to get the engine bracket out? I have all the bolts out but I can't seem to yank it out like you did
You make that shit look so easy,,,when I did mine, the cussing was soòoo bad the nabor Had to come over and tell me to watch the Language, BRO, it was a bitch,,,,lol
I know this is an old video. You seem to know your SRT4 engines very well. Is it worth the extra money for the blue GATES timing belt when my SRT4 engine is stock? Will it last any longer? Is there a certain belt, kit, and water pump that you prefer?
Nice vid I am doing a water pump timing to an 04 but I am doing power steering delete n ac comp delete cause power steering pump froze belt broke didn’t wanna play chase the leak. But ur car looks hella clean in the northeast of us these cars rot it’s a dam shame to.
@@PJBWERKZ I bought my first srt this will be it’s 3rd summer. After being in love with neons it’s an 04 with 293k shifts smooth runs great but I bought it down in mass n brought it up to northern Vermont n park it in a garage every winter. But it’s my dream car
So my timing belt snapped going 50 mph , i know these engines can be saved by putting them back in time but the question i have is whats the right way to rotate the cam gears if one is facing down and the other facing up ? The right one is somewhat straight, and left one is upside down , can i just reverse it ? Or do i have to give it a full turn to line it up ? Cool vid by the way 👍🏼
@@PJBWERKZ That's what's up. Thank you so much for this video. Trying this on my SRT-4 this weekend for the 1st time. This will help me out soooo much to get it done! 😎
The best srt mechanic in the state of Texas, probably other states as well
Thanks brotha 🙏

Buen video, me aclaró muchas dudas
Gracias que bueno que si te ayudo el video
Badass wey
I subscribed! Thank you I’m doing mine soon because my belt busted. I just need to find time to do it.
Need to know how to change the middle motor mount
@jasonmckinnon3378 that mount is a pain in the ass to change is best to do it while doing the timing belt

@@GoliathCarCulture glad our video helped 💪
Did you have to loosen the trans mount on the driver side for more clearance?
Or did you just loosen both passenger side motor mounts.
My Srt4 had overheating issues it’s been sitting almost 3 years how do I go by that

No problem brotha,I don't remember witch one I used but you can use Permatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker and don't put alot
500th sub right here keep em coming lol
Hell yeah thanks brotha 🙏
At 3:22, what do you need to remove the top motor mount bracket that sits next to the timing belt cover?
The big bracket or the little one where the top motor mount bolts in to ?
@@PJBWERKZ the larger bracket
@@LongTermOldHead I explained on the video from minute 4 to 8
Cool video
Thank you very much!!
What was the part you removed at 6:45-6:57 and can I remove it before taking the mounting plate out?
Is just a rubber plug/stopper that is on the stock center mount and yes you can remove it before taking the plate out

Hi I am having a hell of time putting the big mount back on the motor can you gave me some tips I can’t get passed the timing belt
Pull the timing belt and tensioner

Lmao I bet man but for me now is so easy since I done so many
So I don’t have any electric tools or super long extensions, do you think those are crucial to have?
No not really it just make the job way easier specially when you try and remove the harmonic balancer
what or the torque specs for everything to where can i find them
Google is your best friend on finding all torque spec

Just go with the black gates timing belt that's what I run on my race car and or any motors I build

Thanks brotha and yeah cars here in Texas don't get bad at all as long as the owner keep up with it but no rust

You can go back to put it on time just make sure I'd not to hard were the bolt on the cam gear comes loose

No problem bro anytime
How long does this job take to complete?
If is your first time around 4 hours

Yes

No problem 💪
Never turn an engine over by the cam bolts Always use the crankshaft bolt!
Why is that ?
@PJBWERKZ because the bolt can snap in the cam. Too much stress for that bolt. Crank bolt is way stronger
@frankieprado3211 I've done it like this multiple time because I'm just putting the cams back to TDC so is not that much stress on thoes bolt
@PJBWERKZ small adjustments are ok just not full revolutions.
Can you do a "How to fix a strut on a dart ?"
Lol I can since I'm going to be working on your car soon lol
