- In today's vlog we continue with day 2 of our Disney's Swan & Dolphin staycation! We get breakfast from the Picabu quickserve and eat it back up in the room and then Tim heads out to explore and tour both the Swan and the Dolphin sides of the resort! Fun fact of the day - that balcony you were looking at is the penthouse suite. It is 2 stories tall and then after that all those “room” are fake to make it look like there is something there. Michael Jackson actually stayed in the suite. It has a huge kitchen and many more amenities. In order to accommodate him they even added video games just for him. My parents back in the day toured it with the connections they had with some cast members. I unfortunately was not born yet but we have the pictures to prove it.
When Jenn was waving out the room window and Tim was saying “Hi Jeeeenn!” Is was the cutest thing! 😄

My god, Picabu, the architecture and colour scheme of the outside of the hotel is so *achingly* 90's. I love it.
I think it's suppose to be pic abu, as in the artist "Pablo Picaso". Pic, not peak a boo, like a game with a baby.

To get to the “ high roller “ floors and rooms you gotta go to the 12 th floor dolphin side then take the stairs case up and there’s another set of floors take it to the top you’ll also get an amazing view .
My wife and I visited the Dolphin about 10 years ago to check out the Christmas decorations and stumbled upon the MLB Winter Meetings. Everyone from ESPN and a bunch of players (Nolan Ryan, Frank Robinson, Kevin Millar, etc) and GMs ( Brian Cashman) were just hanging out in the lobby.

It's true that it's a little known character dining spot. A couple of years ago, my hubby and I were staying at the Dolphin for a conference and wandered into the Garden Grill for dinner. We ended up with the cutest pictures with Pluto and Goofy!

I don’t know why I just noticed this! But I love when you guys sit down at the end and specifically Tim has his arm around Jen, I’ve noticed this before but not like noticed noticed! It’s soooo sweet! And he does this every vlog!! My heart I can’t-!
You never mentioned...which I think is a big plus of Dolphin/Swan...is it’s access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios via walk or Friendship Boats!
ugh...sent too fast. Also, it’s proximity to the Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. The Boardwalk itself is wonderful at night for families. So many options in that area and best location.
Swan side is the best you get the best of both world! I feel it was not as busy as dolphin side. We had breakfast at Java each morning and it was really good 💖 and all of the cast member where amazing! And can’t beat the location and the food options! I’m so glad y’all highlighted the resort! ♥️
I've stayed at 80% of Disney hotels, never at swan and dolphin however We are heading down in August and I'm super excited to book this resort. Thanks again for all you do 😄
I never considered staying at the Swan or Dolphin hotel during my Disney trips. I have been enlightened and will try them!
Love staying at the Swan! It’s technically a Westin hotel and has the most comfortable beds! We like how close it is to the boardwalk, EPCOT, and HS. It will always be my first choice when looking to stay on property.
Would love to see you and Adam the Woo do a reflections of a Disney vlogger episode while riding a swan boat.
Such nice hotels but I could never afford them so enjoy you showing them to us. Seeing Jenn waving from window was so fun. Love the Trackers ❤
Just a little fyi: Swan and Dolphin are Marriott properties.
Yep. They finally changed from being Starwood Sheraton and Westin hotels once the buyout between the two companies was completed. I love that my points converted from Starwood to Bovoy and you can use/earn points for these stays
Good thing since it seems to be the only way to earn bonvoy points

Showing the little character buffet area in the swan unlocked a memory I didn't know I had. Went there back in 2008 when I was 9,and it was very quiet there compared to the other character dining buffets. I recall like two or three other families eating there. Shame it wasn't as popular because it's a beautiful spot! So cool to see something from my childhood that I had forgotten about!
The Swan and dolphin do refillable drinks. We were told that if you keep your mug you can bring it back on your next vacation x
The two hidden gems at the Dolphin are the Mediterranean Market and Fountain. Mediterranean Market was our go-to buffet when we’re in the Epcot-area hotels. The made-to-order omelets, waffles, and smoothies were always tasty and they had really good bakery items. My eight year old nephew said that the mac and cheese at Fountain was the best he’d ever had-and he would know!
I appreciate all of Tim's film references cause there are three things I nerd out and get passionate for. Film, national parks, and theme parks.

The dolphin resort is my favorite place been there twice. There's a swimming lessons for kids. Dress up shark for boys and mermaid for girls.
My daughter would definitely want to be a shark!

I’ve lived in Orlando, for my entire 17 years of my life, and I never bumped into you even when I wanted too. You don’t know how much I want to meet you
I saw them randomly at universal and was star struck, tried to tell my wife and she was like "What lets go"....
I can't believe you've not once bumped into then when you live in Orlando! I've only been to WDW once from Australia 🇭🇲 and I was lucky enough to meet them after MNSSHP in Magic Kingdom back in 2017! They were so nice!
On that triangle building, I've stayed on one of the very top suits before (something we go for free because of my mom's work). The rectangular glass hallway hanging off the side was a 24-7 access junk food bar and it is by far the best firework view I've ever had of the Magic Kingdom park. Plus there was the bonus of the light up floats on the lake below (I'm not sure they even do that anymore?). It was over 13 years ago and I still can picture watching the fireworks from that window stuffing my face with free candy like it was yesterday
The Burgers at The Fountain in the Dolphin are amazing... Tim as a burger guy... you all need to do a burger challenge... The Fountain, Sci Fi and Dine, The Boathouse and Beaches and Cream...

Il Mulino is the best Italian on Disney property by a mile...you guys definitely have to try! Would love to hear your thoughts on it!!

We stayed at both hotels one before and one after Covid and they both are amazing. Yeah Fuel is always so busy. Only downside to them is the Disney transportation buses takes a long time.

We have stayed at many Disney property hotels. We always go back to swan and dolphin. Great location and amenities.
Some people say that it's technically not "Disney's" Swan and Dolphin Resort and they're technically correct. Its own website does call it the "Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort" which would be a better way of titling it. Disney does not operate it.

I've stayed at both hotels a few times and I enjoyed being there. The food was great and I liked the pools. We liked the boat ride to the parks also.

Those two hotels are studied in design schools as seminal examples of post modernism by Michael Graves. It is a shame that the original interiors are gone.
My wife and I and some friends stayed at the Swan back in 1996 and this is fun trying to recognize anything that hasn’t changed.

We loved the Swan and Dolphin! Beautiful hotels, great location and delicious food...Garden Grove was a character breakfast and we got to see Minnie, Goofy and Daisy there ❤️ Plus, it’s a Marriott resort so we stayed on points... highly recommend!
One of my favorite resorts!! Prices are sometimes better then a value resort at Disney. It's a nice mix of not being a Disney hotel but literally attached to everything Disney.

Ooooh I love that Picabu place it seemed really nice!!! And I love the buffet option super nice! That food looked good especially the bacon!!! I love how Jackson want's everyone's food also haha!!! Wow The Dolphin hotel is really big!!! Super nice with all the different food options that's great!!! And pools and omg swan boats that will be so cute when you guys come again and get to ride with Jackson!!!
We like to stay at the Swan and Dolphin which is so convenient if you’re going to Epcot or Hollywood studios. The Swan side is our go to preference because it is quieter. What I like about the hotels are the choice of restaurants. Our last trip was December 2019. We gave my son and daughter-in-law a date night and my husband and I took the grandkids (a 2 year old and a 3 month old) to Garden Grove for dinner which had Goofy and Pluto. They were doing character dinner buffet every night and on Sunday brunch buffet as well. This hotel is a hidden gem!! By the way, we were the only guests in the restaurant that night at 5:30 and the staff and the characters were sooooo nice!😀
Sometimes in the morning it's nice to get a breakfast sandwich at the Swan and just sit out in those courtyards and enjoy the morning. The Swan is smaller than the Dolphin but most of the time is more expensive as well. I stay at whichever one I can get for less when I go. The Swan pool is just a lap pool so does tend to be quieter than the big pool at Dolphin, we tend to go over there and the great part is both resorts share all the restaurants and pools.
My husband and I ate at the Mediterranean fresh market, back in 2003, it was so delicious! We still talk about the buffet. :)
The rooms look great. I always took it to be such an old hotel, since they were around before I started going myself in 1993 - I should have known! LOL

We used to go for breakfast at Picabu before going out to the parks. They were open the five days we were there for breakfast. They had quiche when I went there in 2016. I do agree, it feels like 90s but that was my first time at Disney so the nostalgia was very comforting. Il Mulino was good as we didn't plan well for dinner and they stayed open later than most restraunts. I was 20 then so I had to stick with water as they only had alcohol options. The waiter recommended Gnocchi Bolognese which was delicious.

Definitely my favorite resort. I use to always stay here before I was DVC but even my first year as DVC tacked on a few days to just enjoy this resort before going home. Also always make my way there for a meal at either Shula’s, Il Mulino, or kimonos 👘 tho even tho I’m not staying there.
The Fountain has the best soft serve ice cream & milkshakes.
I like the vibe at the small Dolphin quick serve, and the lack of a line-up there. I'd be going there. Prices looked good too.

We loved this hotel and the pool is my favourite of any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The only negative is because it’s a conference hotel it can get extremely busy with conference visitors

When my band came to Orlando, we did the Disney recording studio experience at the Swan and Dolphin convention center.
Tim and jenn from what I remember when I stayed there a very long time ago.... the swans are two seaters with foot pedals (like bicycle pedals) and you steer with a handle that is positioned in the middle to change the utter underneath. No there are no seat belts.
The swan was the first resort I ever stayed at going to disney world, stayed at both since and can’t say enough good things about both

FYI, Garden Grove had stopped character dining for dinner even before the shutdown. But before, Covid at least the weekend breakfast morning still had characters.

I love the name Picabu! So cute! All I know is that the Swan boats use to be complimentary for S&D resort guests only. I’m not sure age limit or if there is a charge now. 😁
I love how they phrased "Eggs How You Like Them" because there is a dish served at breakfast served at Courtyard by Marriott called "Eggs Your Way." It was very clear that they were not trying to copy and paste the menu from one property to the other.
