I loved staying at the Dolphin & eating at Shula’s! Yum! Also, doesn’t the spa smell sooooo good? I think it’s eucalyptus. I love that you are a short walk away from the boardwalk. That’s a great location! And your room looked awesome. They’ve done beautiful renovations since I last stayed there.
We stayed at The Swan for the first time last August and really enjoyed it! It had only just re-opened 4 days before our stay and the staff were so wonderful and thankful that we were there! We always stay at Disney owned resorts but Swan impressed us soooo much! We are now DVC members but would absolutely recommend Swan and Dolphin to others! One more thing: I know it’s really hard to keep kiddos Jackson’s age entertained and content at the table in a restaurant but now is the time to teach him how to manage it! You can always let servers know at the beginning of the meal that you may need to get stuff to go if he gets too restless but starting to have him understand that he needs to sit at the table is great to be working on ASAP! No judging or “back seat parenting” just a tip!
I used to let my balloons go as soon as I got outside. My parents would freak out that I’d “lost” my balloon but I actually did it intentionally 😂 I liked to watch it fly away until you couldn’t see it anymore. Maybe Jackson would actually enjoy popping balloons more than watching them slowly and depressingly deflate ☺️👍🏻
@@cheriecaves I agree 100%!! I love their family but I agree Jenn needs to put him down and let the kid be a kid. In my opinion he is spoiled and she gives in a bit too much. I think If Tim took over more things would be a little different. All my opinion and not meant to offend.
That type of room would be PERFECT for a bridal party to get ready in before a wedding. I know a lot of brides who get married at Disney have a hard time figuring out which resort has good room types for that.
I was at a luncheon once and when it was announced that the entre was dolphin, one woman started screaming and crying. Of course the conference meant the dolphin fish, not the mammal.
First thing I did was switch to Wikipedia and read the article about the hotel 😂 I wasn’t familiar with the dolphin fish/nautical dolphin at all! But then again, English is not my native language... Still glad that I learned something new today!

The Swan and Dolphin really are such underrated hotels. The rooms are so spacious, the hotel is beautiful, and the location can’t be beat! And the fact that it is so much less to stay there than the neighboring Disney resorts with the same perks! Love this place!
All of this! We just stayed there last week and it's PERFECT during festivals we ended up spending at least a few hours every day at epcot because you just can't beat how close and convenient it is. Especially with the extended hours
My first thought when Jackson got his balloon was Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin. You should definitely do a photo of Tim holding Jackson's hand and Jackson with a balloon at Disney walking away from the camera. I can see it perfectly in my mind. Now I have that song Christopher Robin by Amy Grant stuck in my head.
Oh yeah that's the first thing I do as a foodie. What would I order? So fun to live vicariously through their adventures. I always pick my choices then try to predict their's. Ya know I really thought Jenn would go for the salmon this time. But the fillet? OMG 😲
Jenn’ll get fish or something “back of the tongue spice” or both. Tim’ll get the burger. Jackson’ll have the chicken. We could play something like a drinking game but an eating game. Eat a burger every time Tim orders a burger.
I just wanna say I envy you guys ♥️ you guys are so fortunate to be able to do all the things you enjoy 😉 I am a mother of 6 and business student. It's definitely tough to make it by month to month. I WILL get there one day and someday my family will see yours in the parks ❤ thank you for giving me an escape from my hectic life.
One of my favorite things about these hotels is at night when the walkway between the two is lit up with lights themed to music. A small detail, but I absolutely adore it! ❤️
I have a toiletry bag that I keep a full showers worth of supplies and an alternative option or two and emergency items. It lives in my luggage so I never have to pack toiletries. I just move it into whatever luggage I'm using pack clothes and make up and done!! This may help with your baby shampoo delima since you are often not at home.

For anyone wondering about the dolphin fish/mammal comment 🐬, Wikipedia says: “The statues on top of the Dolphin hotel are not mammalian dolphins, but a stylized version of a nautical dolphin, a common symbol used on old world nautical maps.”

It's honestly one of my fav hotels on property. You have access to boats and walking paths going to dhs and epcot plus everything at the boardwalk. And it's ALOT cheaper then a Disney resort

On my first trip to Disney in 2016, we stayed at the Dolphin side. I loved it. It has a fragrance in the lobby and I love the music played with the lights on the palm trees bridging in the middle of the two sides. We had a more basic room with two beds, bathroom with shower and tub combo on the left side of dolphin facing the palm tree bridge. With the number of people we had two of the same joining through a doorway but only one had the balcony. One night was poor planning on our dinner so we we went to a restraunt on the swan side since it stays open later. I was 20 then so I had to stick with water since the only other options were alchohol. The waiter recommended the potato nocchi which was delicious. During breakfast, we'd eat at Picabu. It is an artistic cafeteria where they serve basic breakfast foods and quiche. I got a bag of goofy snack mix from the shop but unfortunately a big amount of it went missing coming back to the room at night. It has been known for the maids to eat a guests snacks so I strongly suggest securely packing it away, eat the whole thing, or take it with you to avoid possible contamination.
My husband and I were too broke on our honeymoon to stay at Disney (or even visit the parks), so we decided to visit the Disney hotels and get ideas for our future vacation options. We rode the monorails and had a great time. We finally were able to stay at the Swan in December 2020 for our birthdays and we loved it! The staff were so great and even though the entree portions at Bluezoo were a bit small and the clam chowder at Bluezoo tasted like buttery seawater, the strawberry shortcake dessert was delicious.
Stayed at the Dolphin years back, we had a beautiful view of the water from our room. Enjoyed short walking distance to Boardwalk Hotel and Epcot. I would stay there again.
My parents owned a school bus service in Miami for 26 years. They had a small bus that took the Schula children to and from Miami Country Day School. My Mom met both Dorothy & Don Schula several times. That steak looked so good. Hope you have a good time.
I have been been binge watching you for days.... my grand baby is due in October so I am digging Jackson while I look forward to the big event. I will forever be a Disneyhead! My family and friends have been pushing me to do my own TH-cam..I think I’m finally going to take the plunge this fall when my partner and I go traveling for the winter.
I was just recently looking into staying there. Hubby and I prefer Epcot and Hollywood Studios and love the proximity. This video is perfect timing for us!
I stayed the Swan after a stay at All Star Music, and ended up extending my stay for a few days, because I enjoyed it MUCH more tan I thought I would. I was very pleased with the room (had a fantastic pool and TZTOT view!), the location, and the staff. I've seen vlogs from that Food/Wine Classic before, and it always looks spectacular - would love to come do that sometime. Shula's - even though it was 12 years ago when I ate there, I had probably the most HORRIBLE dining experience I have ever had in over 30 trips to WDW - I have never forgotten it, it was that bad. The food was horribly sub-par, the waiter spilled a whole carafe of liquid on me (can't remember if it was soda, or water, it was not alcoholic) and didn't apologize - and gave me side=-eye when I asked for napkins to clean the mess up with. The meal was also OBSCENELY overpriced, especially for being underwhelming. I stopped to complain to the manager on my way out, and got the feeling I wasn't even being listened to. And I am NOT the kind of complain, but this was outstandingly disappointing, especially for the prices charged. Like I said - I have never forgotten it, and have never wanted to go back. :( :( So glad you had a much better experience. Jenn - I think those ears are for the 50th - to complement the "upgrade colors" on the castle - pretty sure that's what I heard. Blue is my favorite color (and darker blues), so I LOVE that color. Double Ahhh I checked out of the Dolphin, floor 8 on Friday the 16th. I keep juuuuuust missing you guys. I love the Swan/Dolphin. I've stayed there the last 5 or 6 trips, you can't beat the location or the price. I love the Fountain, their soda fountain type restaurant.
I didn’t expect The Sam And Bucky Show/Winged Soldier and Metal Arm Guy to be funny. I thought it would be mostly action like the films but I love that there’s lighter moments and some drama about real world problems like PTSD and imposter syndrome. My favourite line so far was Sam calling Bucky the “bionic stare”. Oo, that’s a copyright free name idea; The Funny Guy and the Bionic Stare!
This last episode was the best one so far. My husband said that he loves the domestic parts the best, so he loved the episode. A slip knot around Jackson's wrist will keep that balloon close at hand, and it didn't look overfilled enough for him to pop it unless he has those extra sharp baby nails.

Ok something I always wonder when I see rooms like these... Who is having meetings in a hotel room? Like what kind of business do you conduct if you book a room at a WDW hotel to have a meeting? Or a Hilton or whatever hotel that would probably have conference rooms, but instead you have a hotel room on the 8th floor for meetings? This is so weird to me, and my work is basically having meetings on a daily basis. But I do that in offices! And yes, I bug my mind with very random things.
Hi Trackers, thanks for doing a Dolphin Vlog! It was so lovely to reminisce but see how much as changed! We stayed there in 2014 and we loved it, we stayed on the 9th floor! Your room and parlour looks so spacious! We only had a double queen room! If you don't mind letting us know the room rate for that suite usually is, as it's very useful for families. Your meal looked delicious! I would recommend dining at The Mediterranean breakfast restaurant, The Fountain, really delicious food and having a swim in the pool with the waterfall! Unfortunately I don't know if the spa is open, when we were there, I had a manicure, it was amazing! Enjoy the food festival and your stay! X
I was thinking about Shula’s for my birthday dinner when we come in May so I will take this as a sign from the universe. That steak looked amazing and the fact that you could cut it with a plastic knife.....I’m sold! Just booked reservations.
I love when Tim says TODAY and Jackson thinks it is sooo funny. A very nice hotel. I would stay there. Fountains on the roof. Now that is interesting. Thank You for sharing.
There’s also a water taxi that takes u to the boardwalk & transportation to Disney Springs which is all included. When Epcot is doing fireworks you can see them from the boardwalk. They also have s’mores for the kiddos at night by the man made beach & dolphin paddle boats which are also included.

So, when people hear Dolphin 🐬, they think of the mammal. The Dolphin statue at the hotel is the dolphin 🐟 fish, not the mammal dolphin 🐬 .
Like when you get Mahi-mahi it’s technically a dolphin fish but not the same kind of dolphin as 🐬 flipper was.

I went to a high school journalism convention that was held at the dolphin in 2015 and it was the best experience of my high school career!
also, I had one of the best milkshakes at the diner in the dolphin hotel.

I have been been binge watching you for days.... my grand baby is due in October so I am digging Jackson while I look forward to the big event. I will forever be a Disneyhead! My family and friends have been pushing me to do my own TH-cam..I think I’m finally going to take the plunge this fall when my partner and I go traveling for the winter.

The artwork is magnificent. I love the dark blue portraits. The blue balloon has to go though (don't ask). But the entire hotel is beautiful.
I was just recently looking into staying there. Hubby and I prefer Epcot and Hollywood Studios and love the proximity. This video is perfect timing for us!
I stayed the Swan after a stay at All Star Music, and ended up extending my stay for a few days, because I enjoyed it MUCH more tan I thought I would. I was very pleased with the room (had a fantastic pool and TZTOT view!), the location, and the staff. I've seen vlogs from that Food/Wine Classic before, and it always looks spectacular - would love to come do that sometime.
Shula's - even though it was 12 years ago when I ate there, I had probably the most HORRIBLE dining experience I have ever had in over 30 trips to WDW - I have never forgotten it, it was that bad. The food was horribly sub-par, the waiter spilled a whole carafe of liquid on me (can't remember if it was soda, or water, it was not alcoholic) and didn't apologize - and gave me side=-eye when I asked for napkins to clean the mess up with. The meal was also OBSCENELY overpriced, especially for being underwhelming. I stopped to complain to the manager on my way out, and got the feeling I wasn't even being listened to. And I am NOT the kind of complain, but this was outstandingly disappointing, especially for the prices charged. Like I said - I have never forgotten it, and have never wanted to go back. :( :( So glad you had a much better experience.
Jenn - I think those ears are for the 50th - to complement the "upgrade colors" on the castle - pretty sure that's what I heard. Blue is my favorite color (and darker blues), so I LOVE that color.

Double Ahhh I checked out of the Dolphin, floor 8 on Friday the 16th. I keep juuuuuust missing you guys. I love the Swan/Dolphin. I've stayed there the last 5 or 6 trips, you can't beat the location or the price. I love the Fountain, their soda fountain type restaurant.
I didn’t expect The Sam And Bucky Show/Winged Soldier and Metal Arm Guy to be funny. I thought it would be mostly action like the films but I love that there’s lighter moments and some drama about real world problems like PTSD and imposter syndrome. My favourite line so far was Sam calling Bucky the “bionic stare”. Oo, that’s a copyright free name idea; The Funny Guy and the Bionic Stare!

Jen, if you tie a small toy to the end of the ballon string it won't float up to the ceiling and Jackson will be able to reach it.

This last episode was the best one so far. My husband said that he loves the domestic parts the best, so he loved the episode. A slip knot around Jackson's wrist will keep that balloon close at hand, and it didn't look overfilled enough for him to pop it unless he has those extra sharp baby nails.

Ok something I always wonder when I see rooms like these... Who is having meetings in a hotel room? Like what kind of business do you conduct if you book a room at a WDW hotel to have a meeting? Or a Hilton or whatever hotel that would probably have conference rooms, but instead you have a hotel room on the 8th floor for meetings? This is so weird to me, and my work is basically having meetings on a daily basis. But I do that in offices! And yes, I bug my mind with very random things.

Hi Trackers, thanks for doing a Dolphin Vlog! It was so lovely to reminisce but see how much as changed! We stayed there in 2014 and we loved it, we stayed on the 9th floor! Your room and parlour looks so spacious! We only had a double queen room! If you don't mind letting us know the room rate for that suite usually is, as it's very useful for families. Your meal looked delicious! I would recommend dining at The Mediterranean breakfast restaurant, The Fountain, really delicious food and having a swim in the pool with the waterfall! Unfortunately I don't know if the spa is open, when we were there, I had a manicure, it was amazing! Enjoy the food festival and your stay! X

Man, you can tell the Swan & Dolphin was built in the late 80's/early 90's just from the paint colours on the outside. So retro.
There’s also a water taxi that takes u to the boardwalk & transportation to Disney Springs which is all included. When Epcot is doing fireworks you can see them from the boardwalk. They also have s’mores for the kiddos at night by the man made beach & dolphin paddle boats which are also included.
