Hi guys, This week I'm sharing another couple of handmade watercolours I got from new (to me) sellers. Spoiler alert: I love them! What about you you? Have you tried these or plan to? Which are your favourites? Let me know in the comments! More coming up on the following weeks :)
You‘ve swatched my favourite brands! Della Magna makes beautiful single pigment colours and deep deep light has really wonderful mixes that are so special and kind of magical. The lovely owners answer all of your questions immediately and are extraordinarily kind. I just love all the colours I‘ve got from these (totally different) brands! 🎨❤️
@@coloredcarol8074, I hope so ! I've been working with acrylics for more than 40 years, but last year I decided to change things around my studio and retired the acrylic paints and the sewing machine for a while. Now I'm enjoying watercolors and coloring books. My studio never been so tidy like now, I'm loving it.
Thank you for sharing! Does DDL include pigment numbers? I tend to steer clear of paints with "cute" names and no pigment information (I've gotten some expensive duds in the past), but if they do, I might check them out. As for the others, they look lovely! I have three different variations of chlorite from PoemsAboutYou, and they are fantastic in landscapes, so this one might be fun to try. They all have that interesting color split and texture. And you're right about Van Dyke Brown, which is NBR8. I think Cassel Earth is fairly similar, but its code is generally PBR8 from what I've seen. The one I have is darker and less granulating than true Van Dyke. Though, as much as I adore NBR8, it is certainly fugitive, so use with caution.
Hi! Thanks for watching ☺️ They have pigment numbers in certain paints, but it’s not consistent across the website. The sellers are very helpful though, they answered all of my questions regarding pigments and lightfastness. I heard about Van Dyke brown being fugitive, but I still love that texture 😍
Deep Blue for me was love at first sight. If I ever order from DDL, I’m definitely getting the Deep Blue. Despite being a PB74 pigment, it looks very turquoise. I wonder where they got the pigment from?
It’s true, it looks very turquoise and different from other paints I have with the same pigment. Their paints are really special (that being said, I’m itching to get more)

I agree, they offer different but very unique types of paint, lovely to use. Thanks for watching ☺️
My fav are also Dragonfly and Chloride Genuine, the Della Magna's texture is stunning. My wish list grows every time I watch your videos.
They are indeed! I hope you get to try them at some point. Thanks for watching ☺️

@@FloralHeart Nice 😊 I sew too, but very occasionally. It’s been a while I don’t touch my machine to be honest.
With you on that Chlorite Gen 😍 what a heartstopper! As for Deep Deep Blue, my faves are the dragonfly and the bark!
I know right? Very unique paints ☺️
Hi Paper Shipwreck! I love your name 😂.
@@awatercolourist 😂 Thanks I guess? Been my handle since forever lol
