put a "strong" table and stools in the middle. put the common cheap tables flanking it around on the outside and near the bar itself. put chandlers around the "strong table" and put cheap candles around the walls. peasents aren't worthy of good light or decorum and need to be stashed in the back area. same with real life in most restaurants in the stuck up 2020s!. lots of dual classing.
Poor Godfrey. He has to bake with only a counter, and in complete darkness. I imagine his pies are just apples with a wee dusting of flour. And he somehow improves that... you should be paying him more!
We do that in this very part! Although Olga serves drinks too, there's no way one person can deal with the drinks on their own, which is demonstrated pretty well in this video too.
Oh this game looks pretty cool, not sure if it's my cup of tea but I sure enjoy watching you play it. Yours is the 2nd playthrough I watched, just found your channel and I love your humor (humour?) I love sitting down at a tavern after a hard day and sit down to a bowl of fruit and a glass of milk.
At the beginning, always take chef with extra money for deserts because that's all you serve and décor should be plants min/max(75 gold and attracts 1.7 extra people)
That's min maxing and we generally don't do much of that in the Geek Cupboard! Bear in mind that this is very early access so things might well change.
You could have changed the workorder for the waitresses to organize it. The one with 5 gold bonus could have been the only one with food and cleaning and the other just with drinks :D Please show more! :)
It did occur to me recently that we could have changed the work priorities. I don't think we'd have just one waitress serving drinks however, we'd have them both on drinks but only the one that makes money from food doing the food! Alas these thoughts occurred too late and the next part has already been recorded.
probably one of the funest(new) games I've ever played! Should have called it "Tavern Boss" because a DM is a Dungeon Master a TM a Tavern Master decides the situations and who or whom comes by to cause conflict. -as well as the architect of the Tavern's layout. I am the boss! and Yes you can also be the architect. The "special Guests" are decided by the game itself.
Penge: "we have some kind of hole here", my mind : " That is not a hole, Penge" ... flashbacks of monty pythons holy grail (just a flesh wound). Can´t wait for more =)))
Monks actualy brewed beer Also fun acuracy here lemonade did originate in medieval times specificaly egypt it did not come t europe till @7th century tho but it was possible so if its some fantasy parellel world then its possible they had lemonade
Honestly, as soon as I saw the limited options for decor I wondered if it was he was even possible for him to make this tavern hideous. Penge always finds a way
This game seems great. It's easy to earn money, and you can actually enjoy putting up the decorations and stuff without worrying too much about the money
geek plez help; what are you saying in your intro's?! been bugging me for months now :P hey hello and welcome to another geek cupboard pancake avalanche?
Haha! Yes, that. The actual intro, which has become a bit quick recently, is: Hello lovely people, welcome to the geek cupboard, I am Penge and welcome to (game here)!
@@TheGeekCupboard I love this into! As soon as I hear, "Hello lovely people", my back automatically relaxes into the sofa pillows and I pick up my cup and take a lovely sip. :-))
Idk for sure but u voice make me sleepy, really help to sleep early better.
That's a good thing! If I can help people get to sleep then I am happy with that. Sleep well! 🛌

The chef is super talented cooking in a dark windowless room.
love that the research goes up by itself while you can just focus at running the tavern :) Also love how calmly exited you are about the décor!
I do love a spot of decor!
I really want this game. It's so fun. I also want a Pirate Meeting!
WOAHH! This looks way better then when i played a couple builds before this!
Poor Godfrey.

We do address this next time! Well, the darkness anyway... oops!
You should set Olga to food to get the bonus, and let the waitress with 8 arms serve the drinks.
We do that in this very part! Although Olga serves drinks too, there's no way one person can deal with the drinks on their own, which is demonstrated pretty well in this video too.
Oh my GOODNESS, I am so excited to see you play more. But I have added this to my Wishlist already! So up my alley~
Dangit I just bought Honey I Joined a Cult after watching your vids, now I want this one lol.
Apologies to your bank balance!

You can play all the way through the research tree in this version. It’s very exciting to see you playing this because it’s right up your alley.
At the beginning, always take chef with extra money for deserts because that's all you serve and décor should be plants min/max(75 gold and attracts 1.7 extra people)

Loved this one! Hope to see more.
Not bad for an alpha. Looks like it really has potential!
you record games that i just like
Put lights in the kitchen
Intriguing. The game is a lot less simpler then Crossroads Inn, which is a fantastic game that gets frequent updates still.
Can you name the Tavern the Rusty kettle?
Looking forward to you making this a series please Penge!
This game looks good. Can't wait to see what it's like after the Alpha stage.

@@TheGeekCupboard better late than never! I just opened the new part in the tab :) exciting times :D Thanks a lot!

Imagine if this game had rental tables to cater to your Royal guests

Always go down the Ale path...!...
I will probably buy this game.
Could of made it so Olga only served food and cleanup.
Yeah and you’d an reset employees and refresh hiring at no cost. Kind of annoys me how easy it is to optimize employees
The acent.... The need for tea... is he? A fellow brit?
I am a Brit! Hailing from the fair shire of Northampton! Hello!
Monks actualy brewed beer
Also fun acuracy here lemonade did originate in medieval times specificaly egypt it did not come t europe till @7th century tho but it was possible so if its some fantasy parellel world then its possible they had lemonade
2 minutes in before Penge starts decorating outside walls with inside patterns. We're approaching some kind of horror decorating singularity, surely?
Honestly, as soon as I saw the limited options for decor I wondered if it was he was even possible for him to make this tavern hideous. Penge always finds a way
I'll have you know that those curtains are lovely!
And how do you know the girl with the extra tip trait is gonna serve the food? The other girl might. Can you set them for tasks? Good vid.
Have you sen “Travellers Rest”? You can make tea.
This game seems great. It's easy to earn money, and you can actually enjoy putting up the decorations and stuff without worrying too much about the money
I do love me some Penge and a Tavern Simulator. A shame about the tea, though.
Maybe the guests bring their own tea in and just use our water! It doesn't say it's cold water after all, perhaps it's lovely boiled water!
Need light in kitchen, in case a bug, or hair gets in the food!!!
Hire another waitress!!! Over working the staff.
Should have dedicate the food serving duty to only Olga the waitress.
That's actually a very good point. I didn't think of that! You'll have to put up with that in part 2 as well...

im kinda suprised that they still make Tavern games that are so diffrend from each other u should think they would look like kinda the same
Hire more waitress'
