Probably no use to you now but for other newly engaged gals check out hitched. You put in your budget and it tells you roughly how much you should be spending on each thing and lets you track spending x
Congrats Kailey! Going DIY is a great way to save money and get a gorgeous look. We actually have a nationwide DIY event rental company shipour.wedding. We provide simple & affordable uplighting + drapery decor that couples can setup easily without hiring expensive vendors. We LOVE DIY brides 😃
I’m a florist and I always throw rose petals in for free because we always have them around! Though if you wanted like a bin bag full we might charge a little but $800 that is crazzzzyyyyyyy expensive!
Just got engaged and getting married in 4 months too! 😳 this is so helpful!!! I love how you broke it down with price! And it was a legit budget friendly wedding.
I DIY'd most of my wedding as it saved lots of money and was fun and fulfilling to do. I had a 2nd hand dress that I added a diamanté belt too. I did my own hair, and make up and fake flowers, including my bouquet so I could keep it. I did all of the reception decorations, lighting, favours, invitations etc. My mum did all the food and made my card box. My sister was the photographer (she's a professional) and made us a guest book. It was such a memorable day and felt even more special that it was all so personalised and hand crafted.
Love everything about this as I’m planning my wedding! I also love how calm your demeanor is reviewing your items because I’m not easily excitable and have felt out of place among other brides as I’m planning. Thank you!
Another cheaper alternative for a veil is amazon! I got mine for $45 and it's a cathedral veil with blusher and lace trim. The quality was so luxurious too! Loved all the ideas and I can't wait to try some of the signs!!
Literally everything I was worried about on trying to figure out how to DIY or I want my wedding to be - you had all the answers ugh thank you so much, this is a huge weight off my shoulders 😩❤️❤️❤️
As someone who has a decent budget but has a huge venu to work with, I so appreciate this video. You are so awesome and did such a wonderful job!! Your decor is perfect
What an amazing and inspiring video! Future brides will find this very helpful along with those celebrating other special events such as milestone birthdays and anniversaries. You were an abosolute Beautiful bride. Hope you are living happily ever after!
Haha girl I can imagine you were very stressed getting all this done in 4 months, but it looks so gorgeous! I totally agree it seems silly to spend $$$ on just a beautiful party when I know I have some skills and that money can go towards a home etc. Learned some new things! Thank you
Wow this is amazing! I am not technically engaged yet but I love to look for diy inspiration because weddings are just so expensive. I looooove your ideas, so creative!
You are truly amazing. Congratulations on doing everything on a budget and making everything look gorgeous including yourself in such a small amount of time. Truly incredible .
Love you style, we are doing a bit more coastal style but you have given me so many ideas to run with. I LOVE the Italan Ruscus as I love eucaplytus but not the price, also the fairy lights for such a great price.
I love the DIY number one and two. Do you by any chance have the diy video specifically for those diy? Love the ideas. I’m getting married this October trying to figure out how to save cost by doing diy.
Amazing video. Love it. You’re actually helping others get inspired! Haha this is the 5th wedding video I clicked on today but the only one I watched the entire video of!! (tired watching other channels talk so much about their boring selves and generic decor)
I bought my charger plates at dollar tree too and now I rent them lol... I live in the Caribbean and it's very expensive and dollar tree plates looks AMAZING
These tips are saving my life omg ❤️😭🙌 wedding coming up in December and this is one of the most helpful videos I’ve watched! We’re doing so much DIY cause I want it to be pretty but also not cost an arm and a leg
THESE are such great DIYs! My wedding is coming up... and man theres so much DIY that I did but so much fun! I am hoping they turn out great for the special day
These are all so cute and amazing! Your wedding looked beautiful!! Thanks for all the awesome ideas and for giving me hope on putting together a dream wedding💗
whew chile I'm so glad I found this video. I chose the same theme/color scheme for my wedding so this video is a God Send! Thank you so much! So much money will be saved omg 😍
You’re absolutely amazing and so talented! Your wedding turned out so gorgeous. I’m not getting married any time soon but I’m helping out with some weddings from people at my church and I can’t wait to use some of these ideas ❤️
Thank you so much for making this video! I an a bride on a BUDGET! so I need to do this stuff my self and you definitely inspired me! But who set up all this decor the day of the wedding?
I have watched this months ago during covid and loved what u did. Little did I know I am now planning for my last min wedding thats happening in 6 weeks time! And THANK YOU for this video! I still love what u did and am here to recreate what u did... wish me luck! #14feb2021
Cute ideas, thank you for sharing.... I hand made my mom's veil for her 25th anniversary it wasn't too long it took me 2 days to complete, everything cost me less than $20
Thank youuu! I just got engaged myself and am completely clueless. You just gave me the confidence to do this myself!!! On to another one of your videos 💛🌻
Beautifully done! May I ask, where you got the greenery for your chandeliers? I missed it. My daughter is getting married next month and I am disabled and have to save money where possible but don't want her wedding look cheap. Thank you for the ideas.
I'm soooo happy I found this video!!! 😍 Could you share how you managed the time to decorate the venue - did you do it the night before or the morning during? How long did it take to set up & tear down?
Hey girl! Thank you so much! Surprisingly I haven't gotten this question before but it's a good one! Setting this up was a minor headache and we set it up the day before. It took 10-11 hours to set up with 4-5 people total working on it continuously. The suspended pieces took the longest (the lights, chandeliers, photo backdrop) and all required two people to set them up. Setting up the candles (taking them out of the wrapping and putting them in vases) took some time - we could have done this in advance but didn't want them to get damaged during transport... might reconsider if I was doing this again lol. Setting up the table settings went by pretty quickly. Had we gotten our wedding favor jars in advance we could have saved probably an hour or so of 1 person's time on set up day by attaching the thank you notes in advance. Although I didn't include this in the video we also did the flower arrangements on all the cocktail tables, which probably took an hour or so of another person's time. The venue/ my wedding coordinator set up the wedding aisle chairs, the rose petals, and folded the napkins/ placed the menus on the morning of. Tear down - a bit of this was done by the venue the night of (maybe 10-15%) but we did the rest the next day. It took us approx 5 hours to tear down, the first two hours with 6 people working on it and the latter 3 hours just my husband and I. The candles took the longest for tear down because you have to put them back in boxes and put paper or whatever in between them so they don't get damaged. Definitely the more people you have helping the better... though don't get people who won't take your instruction... maybe not true for everyone but my patience was a bit shorter than normal lol... Good luck, CONGRATS, and hope this helps!!
@@DIYDalia omg THANK YOU for such a detailed reply. I was trying to find this set-up-tear-down info everywhere but couldn't, this really helps a whole lot. This makes the whole wedding planning experience more "real" in a way, like the nitty gritty details of the sweat & labour that goes into a beautiful wedding. Your wedding looked really amazing and you must feel so proud for DIY-ing it all 😍 I hope you had a brilliant time, and thank you again for taking the time to reply me!!!
as someone who worked at a florist, the reason rose petals cost so much is because roses bought at florist are floral grade, which means that they’re a lot more expensive to sell by the stem than like something you’d get at a grocery store which aren’t floral grade. for example, the regular roses we sold were like $3.50 a stem (and the garden roses were even more). so when we deconstruct a rose just for the petals, we have to sell it for a bit less, and it takes several roses to fill up one of the containers that we used (clear plastic corsage container, if you’ve seen em), so we’d end up loosing a lot of stock and money to do that regularly. so yeah it’s a waste of money for everyone hahaha (course I wasn’t the owner or anything but if I were her I’d just say screw it and use any petals that fell off during the flower processing but she’s gotta make money off anything she can I guess lmao)
Just found your video / channel and I loved every minute of it! I was loving all of the tips and suggestions, and then I saw in the comments that the venue is just outside of London! I would love to see the wedding makeup, I would love to do it my own 'cause I do my own makeup when I go to partys and weddings etc. but I'm so nervous to do it on my own wedding day ^^
I feel you - I was actually really nervous too... Something about weddings makes you not want to risk it (though I'm pretty particular so to me getting someone else to do it is also a risk lol). I practiced my makeup 2x fully beforehand and then on the day it was pretty easy. The only thing is... I did my makeup in a room away from everyone else because I wanted to focus whereas if you get it done it can be more social lol. I'll do this video in a couple weeks 🥰. Thanks for watching!
