Cracking find!! From the small piece of info from google. The early fs80 was shindaiwa design, hence the made in Japan. Apparently from the early-mid 80s. If it was looked after I’m certain it would still be running today! I’d keep it as a bit of history 👍🏼
Yea, I pretty much found the same info and I think the throttle handle was standard 😅 it's currently on the junk pile...may save a few bits from it tho
I think Stihl are very generous to let you review one of their strimmers .. have used similar back in the day … had one catch fire 🔥 on an embankment back in the 80s .. 😮..
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd Yes was on a job in the middle of nowhere…I took off my T shirt to try and stop the flames 🔥 but that caught on the spark ⚡️ plug and added to the fire .. 🥹
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd I was thinking Oregon don't remember a name on them probably only had 2 or 3 new when the stock of slightly less worn out bits to make a useable one to keep working weekends been good day out at a auction yesterday done a few jobs on the farm today Thanks again
I use to use one of them in the 90s for the council at the time had to get parts from shindaiwa. Back when they used quality Japanese parts. I've done the bike handle brake before on mowers.
Probably an ex owner had enough of trying to start it and threw it. Stihl, best equipment you can buy but when it does'nt want to start. It would make a Nun swear.😂😂
It's been the wettest winter I can remember for years. Probably have a drought now I've got a machine that can cope with this weather!!! 😂😂 I'll mention it to Etesia ! 😂 Thanks for all the videos, must take you a fair bit of time

Were they good to use? I've seen a video of the same thing with the same throttle, maybe it was the choice on these😅 thanks for watching 👍
You have a Westmac Shaft with a Stihl Engine that shaft would have had either A Kawasaki or a Mitsubishi Engine I would think
