As a big fan of Grace, and a psychotherapist who works a lot in addiction/recovery, this song is spot-on.
When she sings she lives the song; the mark of a true artist. Which is why she is a natural actress and will go as far as she wants in the movies. Stargirl!

Better Life, this is a song that has a deep lyrics and the artist has a great responsibility in the interpretation, Grace managed to pass the intensity and emotion in everything that the lyrics presents in a simple way with short movements and a lot of facial expression. incredible, congratulations and “success always” !!!
Grace is America’s Sweetheart. How can anyone not love this girl? She is the epitome of grace, love and a true fun-loving spirit. I just adore her. We’ve been honored to watch her grow up... what a beautiful young woman she’s become! Love you Grace! ❤️

This and Beautiful Thing will always be two of my favorite Grace songs, though lately she has been turning out amazing stuff. Wish I could have seen her on this tour but I'll be seeing her in Toronto. But even at 13 she is amazing isn't she?

Will other entertainers suddenly sit down on the edge of the stage and talk and sing along with their fans? If they do then you know Grace is influencing the industry

This is out of context but at the very start Grace said next time, and she turned around right after she started singing, she was tearing up? There was something odd in the guitar.

I'm a bit sad she almost always sings the refrain in the lower melody when singing live.
Why?
@@stareyes453 Because I think this makes the song special and powerful and more "positive". It almost seems she can't get her voice that high so many times consecutively. The lower melody makes the song more on the "dark" side.

What does that have to do with anything? The lyrics, the message, the voice are all outstanding, Talent and intellect should not be judged by physical attributes. Grace Vanderwaal has both, great talent and superior intellect.
The off-key sing-along is really irritating. Whoever is signing along needs some serious lessons in singing in tune. Or maybe just keeping quiet. Videos like this convince me that I never want to go to a Grace Vanderwaal concert, because I'd have to listen to people around me signing out of tune, without the emotion and abilities of Grace. I realize people are having fun doing this, but it wrecks the concerts for many others who want to hear the artist, not the amateurs around them. Trying singing at home to a CD.

In all fairness, she did spend a minute telling the crowd to sing along.
It's probably the dude holding the camera. If it weren't for him, you wouldn't have had the chance to watch and hear that great tribute. It's his camera, he can sing if he wants to, sing if he wants too....
@@timweaver4551 Watch, yes. Hear - not really. What I hear is Grace's voice mixed with off-key croaking. I go to a concert, I want to hear the featured artist, not some wannabe amateur with a tin ear and horrible voice.
These adults need to take a cue from Grace and have a little bit of common courtesy... Absolutely unacceptable to sit and talk to one another while she is not only trying to perform, but sharing such an emotional song! If you’re not a fan why don’t you go wait for your kids in the car!
