Kind of agree but Destiny has never been in this "up close and personal" situation to be able to compare her real skill against Justin. She appears to know what she's doing on her own videos, she may do some picking on her Twitter page in the future that could astound us

I've not seen him play on an electric tho, or on any 'pop' tunes for that matter, so I can only judge him on the little work I've seen him do.

It isn't like she's singing a song. It's like she's explaining a story with all the emotions and love. I love the way how she's got that charisma of making any song hers. I love it when she add a personal touch to every cover song💗 She's such a beautiful singer & person. I totally adore her🌼🌼😍

I love how a 14 year old can come to a radio show with an Oatmeal can and a simple guitar accompaniment and stir up so much emotion in people simply by singing with all her heart.
There will always be haters in the world. Even the most beautiful cities have sad angry people screaming hate on street corners. But in this crazy world, i'm really glad there are people like Grace to show us love in an honest simple way. She is so much much more brave than those that hide behind anonymous accounts and say angry things.

A friend told me to look up Grace Vanderwaal, WOW, I've been binging on Grace Videos all day, but this is SWEET JESUS, HOLY MOLY, OUT OF THIS WORLD, FANTASTIC. I've never commented on anything anywhere, but now I feel I have to tell the world about Grace, she makes me feel things I thought were long gone. I'm 60 and I can't believe I'm "fan girling" over this girl.

... I'm not sure why I love her singing.... But her songs helped me through some tough times recently... They were just there and I didn't really think about it... Not much more one can ask of a singer...
As you continue to delve into all things Grace you will come across many, many testimonials in various comment sections about how Grace's music and even just Grace being herself has uplifted the seriously depressed. (some even suicidal) This would be a tremendous load for anyone to take in. Grace appears not to have been overwhelmed by it and has essentially continued as 'just Grace'.

If Grace doesn´t get a friggin Grammy for whatever category, I really don´t understand this world anymore. You just have to watch this unreal performance to know, HERE sits a real artist, a once in a lifetime talent. What an awesome performance. Her voice alternating between honeysweet, soft and powerful, high and low pitch, this conveying of emotion. Brilliant.

I agree but in order for her to get a Grammy is that she needs 1,2,3,4 or 5 of her songs on either the top 100, top 50, top 10, top 5 and they need to be in there for at least a couple of weeks or months and also a lot of her music on the radio, and etc
Benjii Sad thing is that the Grammys don’t honor talent or art but economical success. I’m no expert but Grace is easily a candidate for Best New Artist, Darkness is easily candidate for Best Song, JTB for Best Album, but you’re right. Sellings count. Grace is young, she will win one, I am pretty sure about it.
I tried to watch the 2018 Grammy Awards ceremony, but it was just too weird - more like seeing a scene from "The Fifth Element" or "Strange Days" - a kind of atmosphere that spoke to an aesthetic that seemed like it was high on meth. So, it wouldn't surprise me if Grace isn't even nominated, not because she doesn't deserve it, but because the people behind the Grammy seem to exist in an alien world that wouldn't understand her at all. But that's just my opinion. I'm not interested in discussing the merits of my opinion, but not against hearing other viewpoints on it. I'm always interested in learning new things, just not arguing about them.
I guess she probably has to pay her dues? She's on her way to getting a Grammy soon. I takes a little time I guess?

Back before boy bands and girl bands, lip syncing and half naked dancers, people sang songs on a stage with nothing but a band and a desire to make music. These people needed a hook, they needed to be unique, Janis Joplin, bob Dylan, Elvis, they needed to stand out from the crowd. I don’t notice much difference in many of the singers or groups these days. I know many people love to critique the ability of individuals and tell us what they are doing wrong. However music should make you feel, bottom line… it doesn’t matter if it is technically perfect. That is what has been lost for many years in the music industry, I don’t mean someone trying to make you feel, but someone that can sit down with a can of oats, and make you “feeeel”.

I have been listening to this on loop (well In My Blood) with Bluetooth for the past three hours and I have to say I really hope Grace stays with the acoustic sound she does(i.e. the Bean Runner and MTV roof top performance).
