My instructor just had me start doing this a few weeks ago to help with my sequencing. I hear the stomp and then the whoosh of the club after. Great video. Keep up the great work!
I've gone back to lifting lead heel. Was told 24 years ago to keep it down. But, older now and need the mobility and make more, better turn. I'm also experimenting with slight lift of heel in setup to have weight back at start. Use to teach my Little Leaguers to be on toes of front foot to load weight on back leg. Thank you for your videos. Very helpful!!!
Another great video very easy to watch, very well explained, and straight to the point. I'm going to try this tomorrow just like I have with bending the wrist to get me in the slot and it works. Good work keep the videos coming & thanks.
Bro this is the best ! I have very poor flexibility from years of rugby when I started playing golf I used to life my foot and hit it well this was with my first coach . I stopped doing the but not consciously. And went to a new coach who implemented techniques for me to have the pretties swing . Since then my game has been going in a downhill.
Same here, I'm getting back to my natural swing as well. I can hit much more consistent distances and straight with my natural swing. Which includes lifting that left heel.
I have just recently tried this in practice on a mat. It really helps me with triggering my transition. With heal on ground my brain has a hard time allowing lower body to work first. In my videos it looks like I am coming off center in the backswing and then getting back to center upon slamming heal down. Im concerned this could cause inconsistent shots. Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent sideways upper body movement in back swing or is this movement part of this process?
I suffer from sciatica and piriformis. Lifting my left heel makes my swing less painful and allows me to hit longer and hit the sweet spot more consistently
It will also protect your back, I’ve been keeping my feet planted as modern teaching dictates and I’m now getting lower back pain so back the left heel lift and as a senior should help my distance. Jack Nicklaus said you need athletic feet.
I do it because releases my hips after watching your earlier vid and then noticed Jack Nicklaus does it.I was given advice not to but they also had no explanation
I did a little bit of research regarding lead heel in backswing of many years ago every single one of them lifted their lead heel, when did it all go wrong.s/j.

Your disability is the reason I follow you. No nonsense, to the point, clear examples, and great drills. Keep them coming my friend.
Cheers Michael. No nonsense is certainly the approach 🤙🏻
You are 100% correct in your assessment particularly that it provides for straighter shots too.
Also it saves your vacation from injury. Big plus.

Awesome video, definitely will try..I think it will help me move forward instead of hanging back in swing.
Thanks

Brilliant lesson.....
Thanks bud!
Great video! To the point and makes sense. Never thought Jack Nicklaus “looked funny”. Thanks again!

Great to hear you do it now Jay! If someone is telling you not to do a specific move, that should always be followed up with the why explanation
I lift my heel to get more rotation and i generally hit the ball way further than most people i play with
Brilliant......really helps me! Thanks 😊
Lifting the heel takes torque off your lower back. Thereby prolonging the years you can hit the ball with distance and accuracy.
Think Tom Watson.

Bryson DeChambeau does it. He’s been know to it well.
It’s almost like you’ve guessed my next video David haha
Bubba Watson does it.
Tried it today, didn’t work for me but I’m sure it will be great for others
Give it more practice. Make sure you’re staying centred and slamming the heel down in transition. There’s too many good benefits to disregard 👍🏼
@@jchowngolf I’ll give it another go, I’m only 7 weeks into my golfing career so I have a lot going on in my head
hI LEFT HIP REPLACEMENT BECAUSE I KEPT LEFT HEEL FLAT ON BACKSWING MASSIVE STRAIN ON LEFT HIP IF YOU ARETURNING 90 DEGREES@@unshavengamer5542
