I just bought a tent from my childhood called a Scout backpack tent first made in 1949 . Stansport Mine as a child was orange this one is army green and has a ventilation panels . Such progress love it.
In South Georgia the rattlesnakes love eating those blackberries. I have blackberries growing along the fence line at the back of my yard and the snakes love eating the berries.
Aww Mate - you had me laughing out loud !!! Especially when you lost it over Steve using the spoon to fry the eggs - I completely lost it too - ha ha ! Loving the vintage theme. But seriously, and as you know, it does compete with the modern stuff, especially when it comes to robustness and longevity. Thanks for givin’ me the head-up on Steve’s channel - I’ve subbed and really enjoyed. All-in-all fantastic Marc. Cheers 👍
Thanks for the commemt Giles 👍 terrible eggs so it's a good job I had a spare 🤣🤣 was out again on the weekend just gone with the vintage tent and even had a thunderstorm as well and the tent held up and kept me dry 👍
Funny, I wasn't sure what to make of Mark whenever he is in Andy Kent's videos but watching his own vids, I find him absolutely hilarious and the videos are great. Love the banter between him and 'Old Chap' Steve. Brilliant.
I was a child of only 8 months when my family first took me camping, the tent was a large blue canvas one like yours, with the ridge pole, I loved that tent and still consider blue canvas to be the perfect tent. I must try and find another, just for nostalgia. 🙂 now bugger off!
Another nice video from the MDM studio with some good discussion involved with the video on older style kit and the cooking and eating aspect of it compared to the now of it in comparison . Good video. MDM .
Mark and Steve: two bushcraft fellas returning to boyhood!🤩 Peter Pan in the woods. Being 'an Old Fella', I remember those Optimus stoves! They needed a bit of paste primer on cold mornings but they were so well-made! They were a true 'upscale' bit of kit. So we had Coleman Peak One stoves and they worked even better while looking a whole lot less stylish.
Another great video and those pies looked amazing ( i aint got a sweet tooth so forget that for me). Chip shop curry would be good on a camp? Food for thought 😜. As always Best Wishes From Chester 👍
Blackberries are so delicious especially picking them between September and November
