I love how obvious it is that everyone had such a good time and are so passionate. The bug experts are so eager to explain how incredibly interesting they are, the sound guy is having a blast, and the narrator is like the best part. I love how serious he is. He’s going in for the kill as much as those bugs are. I love it

You are kidding right. They often tell complete nonsense. They humanize insects to a point its more unrealistic as road runner.

I love how the music and sound effects make the whole thing so much more dramatic.
I have pet spiders and they’re incredibly boring animals. They don’t make any noise and they’re not very smart. Their eyesight is poor so they rely on vibrations to detect food. This doesn’t always go according to plan, sometimes I drop in a cricket and it jumps on their head and the spiders do nothing.
The narrator must be the richest person ever. Dude narrates for every show, movie trailer, and even music videos and songs like Eminem's

The beetle wouldn't even be able to get a hit on the ant. Their horns can't clamp that tight against the small ant. They are made for fighting each other or bigger foes.

Out of all these bug wars the spiders have reign completely supreme, I've yet to see one instance where a spider lose, except to another spider. No wonder these things haven't had the need to evolve for the past hundred million years, they've already reached the pinnacle of their environment, nothing that have ever lived or is living now has managed to outpower these things.

I’ve always wondered how they get the footage. Do they just follow the bugs around and hope something interesting happens or are these guys dropping bugs beside each other hoping for a blood bath?
No it will all be done in a studio, the animals we see will basically be someone's pet. I thought the same but watched a documentary about behind the scenes showing how the get insect footage and footage of fish as well

This is one of the best insect documentary that has ever been done, you get to see up close and in great clarity the battles between insects and how they go about it whether it's ambush or chasing down
I like how there's 15-20min build up for 5-10 second fight
Heh, I like the sound effects. If bugs could make noises, I'm guessing they'd sound like this. Want to hear some genuinely horrifying sounds? Look up any "Leopard/Lion vs. Warthog" video... when piggy gets taken down, the squeals of agony can go on for 10 minutes, especially when lions don't bother killing, and just eat the hog alive.
I really find the mantis and huntsman fight unfair. I mean look at how small the mantis' forearms are. How could it get the larger spider pinned in said arms? The same with the rhino beetle. How is it supposed to fight back?
However, I love the jumping spider and huntsman duels. The green jumping spider is really awesome, and I love how its technique paid off. And I loved how gory the jungle huntsman's end was. Honestly, these spider vs. spider battles are usually great because either side you don't really win or lose which side you choose. :3
