This was actually really dangerous that she did this because it's not as simple as 'allergy to cold'. The cold can trigger a lack of blood flow, making it extremely easy for her to get blood clots or lose feeling in her limbs for long periods of time. My cousin has this. It's no joke.
Sry to hear that, but it can be different for everyone. So your cousin may have a really bad allergy to cold while other person on screen may have not as bad. All allergies are different, also i know a lot because I have allergies. Someone could be deathly allergic to one food, while the other person is allergic to the same food but is not deathly allergic, it’s all different. I’m sorry for your cousin if he has ever experienced that. But all I’m trying to say is that it’s different for everyone.

I have Cold Urticaria too! I was diagnosed with it when I was 8 years old. We looked into getting a diagnosis after I experienced full-body hives, fuzzy vision, loss of awareness, and splotchy skin (I'd be very red in some patches, and ghostly-white in other patches, specifically my face.) after swimming in a very cold pool. At first my family had thought it was a reaction to chemicals in the water, but upon further investigation and a visit to an allergy specialist they found out I had cold urticaria. They asked me a few questions about when I'd experienced any reactions to cold temperatures, (and I explained how once I'd been in a water fight with my brother using water from our garden hose and my skin had become red and itchy, been in the freezer section of a grocery store and had started getting itchy and red, the pool incident, and whenever I would eat something such as ice cream, my hands which were holding the cup would become red, itchy, and swollen-looking.) They held and ice cube onto my forearm for ten minutes, and after they removed it there was a patch of hives on my skin, just like Piper's. I was then prescribed an Epinephrine auto-injector incase of any more incidents. I thankfully didn't have any reactions to eating or drinking anything cold, but cold contact to my skin was what made me have reactions. I have since then grown out of my Cold Urticaria, but I am still cautious whenever exposed to cold temperatures. Anytime I would explain my allergy to people, they would always say "Oh, it's just hypothermia" or something like that. No one ever believed me when I told them. One of the final clues that made my family look into getting a diagnosis for my allergy was that when we were at a thanksgiving family gathering, we found out that my great-grandfather had similar problems a few winters in his childhood. That's when we figured out that what I had was hereditary. It's really cool to find more people who have the same allergy as me. :) Thanks for listening to my story!

As someone who also has it im glad i don't have it way too seriously. It's just itchy and uncomfortably tight when the allergy shows. Ok story time. In kindergarten there was this girl in my class who was allergic to the cold as well. So she got to stay inside when it was snowing. As a kindergartner I didn't know that until the end of the year. So as a kid I didn't know that she was allergic to the cold. So the whole school year I just thought she was the teachers favorite student. So one time it was spring and the teacher thought it was warm enough but apparently it was not. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a weird/uncommon allergy! 😭 I’m sensitive to sunlight (yes I can still go outside when it’s sunny) but usually my face will get bloated and red even after 2 minutes. I have cold urticaria aswell it really burns and it’s honestly a skill to be able to stay away from cold all day and anyone asking about showers or baths you can put special chemicals in the water so you can take a shower

As someone who also has it im glad i don't have it way too seriously. It's just itchy and uncomfortably tight when the allergy shows. I took some medicine when I started having this allergy and it was really helpful but now I have it for some years I got used to it. Also good luck! I hope you will bare it!🫶

Ok story time. In kindergarten there was this girl in my class who was allergic to the cold as well. So she got to stay inside when it was snowing. As a kindergartner I didn't know that until the end of the year. So as a kid I didn't know that she was allergic to the cold. So the whole school year I just thought she was the teachers favorite student. So one time it was spring and the teacher thought it was warm enough but apparently it was not. This girl broke out into big hives all over her face. Long story short I screamed and thought she was shape shifting into a monster. Hey Kate if your reading this I'm sorry.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a weird/uncommon allergy! 😭 I’m sensitive to sunlight (yes I can still go outside when it’s sunny) but usually my face will get bloated and red even after 2 minutes. It will also be itchy the next day. This usually only happens in the summer though and it helps if I have a sunhat but I had it undiagnosed for years and it was hell.
I would love to have that allergy because im an introvert and with that allergy i would have an excuse to not go out lol

Technically it’s not the rarest the rarest would be Aquagenic urticaria which is water allergy or Exercise-induced anaphylaxis. Cold urticaria is probably a close 5th or 4rth, or maybe even 3rd
