I doubt you will ever read this Robina but you popped up on my feed 2 days ago and I have been listening to your talks since then. At first I was off put and thought you were mean 😅 but you are actually very kind, just direct and no nonsense. Thank you so very much 🙏 I am pulling myself out of the pit of despair and madness that my thoughts have created. You are an 🌍 👼
Eye consciousness can only make out shape and colour ,,, That’s fascinating, THANKYOU for this wonderful teaching , so many things to meditate on THANKYOU 🙏🏼
Thank you Ven. Robina for helping me to deepen into my compassion for ALL sentient beings. "The mind is the cause of everything but the speech causes the damage"~ Ven. Robina That is the reason it is important to watch our thoughts and our speech.
Murderers and meditators need mindfulness. Gets me every time. I've actually been in situation where people who claimed "mindfulness" utilized it against me when I was sitting with my anger, pain, loss, betrayal etc. to work through it. I am not a fan of people using mindfulness to condone the path they are on (which doesn't include any of the other parts of the eightfold path) and to dismiss the actions they've engaged in instead of finding a place of healing with it. It's so frustrating. But... I suppose it's on me to look at my own frustration and not attempt to curve their experience except through loving kindness.
I understand, that studying psychology is studying the illness ego state of mind. and studying budism is studying how to get rid of the sickness and illness of the ego mind and truely be the best natural potential of being Conscious. My personal story was putting so many labels on budism that i never was able to get to budism. I still dont mark myself as a budism but i can be aware of the trues of budism. Life is here for u. Nor bad nor good. Get rid of conceptions for urself and u are finally free

BlackRock Tile I actually slow down her videos to 75% speed to hear her speak more slowly. You can do that by pressing the three dots on the upper right hand corner of the video and selecting playback speed
You might think about relaxing and learning to hear it, otherwise find some that you can hear; there are numerous teachers out there. Expecting her to change for every person who finds her presentation hard to hear is ridiculous.
Her vocal tone and aggression is very difficult to listen to. I find a lot of deeply identified 'spiritual' people have this energy I perceive as disturbed and angry. I am pausing her for a minute to take a break.
NZ reggae, those feelings are yours. You might want to examine those feelings of yours and why Ven. Robina triggers them for you. As a contract I don't hear anger or aggression. I hear curiosity and excitement. I love the way she expresses herself: so clear, so direct. Interesting, is't it?
@@lah6739 Most comments on this video praise her as wonderful. I appreciate a lot of her information. But yes, I do perceive her and some other 'spiritual' teachers as troubled people with issues that are evident in the tone of voice and content of speech.
I love her, we should not be judging her, it's our perceptions that are causing us to derive all these messages about her - aggressive, disturbed etc. It's all in our mind. I feel a sense of urgency when I listen to her, the urgency to change out minds for our own sake..for our own happiness.. the main aim of Buddhism is mind training and not judging is one part of this training. May you all be well and happy.
@@smithatenzin6719 I would prefer listening to a calmer friendlier voice. Have you ever seen those repressed anger Caucasian Hare Krishna types all dressed up in robes and forcing a smile. Same thing. Yoga and meditation leads to calm in my experience. I empathise with these people.

I love this woman. There are no other teachers quite like her. I could listen to her all day.

Wow...she rocks big time...such a helpful teacher and also very entertaining in her approach. I love her teaching style.
This teaching and the 2nd part is one of my very favorites 😍.
Thank you Venerable Robina, hopefully I will see you again soon!
She talks from her heart, from love. She has been very well trained and she is one of the few doing it so well!
Ven. Robina Courtin is Marvelous. I can´t quote any of her sentences, there are so many really important and essential things she says.
You don't go to a therapist asking "Why can't I play the piano", do you?
👏👏👏❤😇
Thank you. Love your clarity and examples. Simple yet vastly deep.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the prayer that Robina recites at the beginning? Many thanks. ❤
