Unfortunately I never got to finish it 😭😭😭. I started using the hood for testing of products from companies that send us stuff to test new products under development. Sorry. The CQuartz 3.0 is still holding up to this day though on that side. It’s not crazy beading but it’s pretty good. The Dr B. Form 1201 not so much. I had issues with that product lasting. I don’t even use it anymore unfortunately.
@@MirandaDetailing Hi Phil, Ive been looking for the follow up to the above "test Cquartz UK vs Beasleys 1201" without success, was there a follow up? Ive been given a bottle of 1201 & was curious to know if it lived up to its claims of 12 months. Any help pointing me in the right direction appreciated. Take Care Fella, wishing yourself & your Good Lady Health & Happiness. Mike S
Hi Mile. Unfortunately the 1201 didn’t hold up at all. I didn’t get to make another video since we got so busy. Sorry. But the Cquartz is still on there.
@@MirandaDetailing Thanks Phil, apologies for my tardy response, it is disappointing, I wanted to like the brand but unfortunately durability doesnt appear to be one of Beasleys points of interest, this is the 4th Dr B's products that fail to meet a small fraction of its claims. Also equally surprised that Mike at Autogeek have been singing its praises & quote 12 months on their channel.. Mercenary ?? th-cam.com/video/RelzJ5mj4L8/w-d-xo.html
I wasn’t real sure I wanted the “warm gloss shine” that the plasma coat offered plus, I like the fact that the formula 1201 has a high gloss shine and it looks to be easier to apply, I’m also getting the car pro eraser to remove the wax that’s left on my vehicle. Does this purchase count towards the giveaway?
Cool! Yeah the application is really easy! It does help with the giveaway fund but the Merchandise like t-shirts and hoodies really goes to that giveaway fund! 😎👍🏼 teespring.com/stores/miranda-detailing Put in MIRANDA25 for 25% off!
Miranda Detailing Just been reading some reviews on this stuff and it’s not sounding so great right now ... only thing I’d like to see how some of these guys are applying this stuff ..... even when I see some of the tests on TH-cam (and I don’t mean you ) but either they let it cure or completely don’t follow instructions .... I guess it’s a Canadian thing but you do need to be fair .... so far I thinking I want to go with Adam’s UV Spray Wax on my Truck (It’s brand new) then I’m going to try the TW ceramic products on my Van ... TW thinks I should get a year out of it with a second coat ... we’ll see .... btw thanks so much for quick reply’s and video’s ... they are much appreciated (the TW is because I already bought them LOL) I like easy ... at 65 I ain’t built for entrance any more!!
Does the Dr. Beasley's formula 1201 last a whole year? I'm searching for a long lasting product and was watching this video and searched to see if someone has made a longevity test on the product, but haven't find any video on that matter. Would like to know if it really last a year or two that it states?
Hi. I have not seen it actually last a year....if you looking for a long last Protectant I’d go with a true ceramic coating like Gyeon One or Carpro QQuartz UK3.0. Both are amazing!!
Well I usually don’t throw away my coating towels anyway. I always wash them right away and they don’t get hard. But I never use them on any paint again. I just use them for interiors.
I really like how that dr Beasley is applied. Do you have to treat it like a ceramic? Can it be applied outside? Or does it have to stay in the garage overnight? Looking for good options for cars that don’t stay in the garage. Thanks
It’s a really cool product. It is like an entry level coating so it shouldn’t get wet for 12-24 hours. So it’s best if brought indoors to cure. But I applied it outside along with the CQuartz since I didn’t have room in my garage at the time.
Thanks! Yes we are an ambassador for Carguysupplies! Jason at Chicago Auto Pros set it up! He’s a great guy and has an awesome online store full of Detailer’s candies and toys!!
Awesome idea I just feel bad for 1201 cquartz UK is gonna whoop it. So there is this coating from Australia from Nova concourse Evo the beading looks like a beast Sandro makes a lot of videos with it if you do it you be the first American to document it probably get a ton of reviews
When are you making an update video for the durability of these two? I looked everywhere and can't really find any tests of durability on Dr Beasley's formula 1201 and I'm on the fence of wether to pick it up or Carpro lite to coat my daily driver.
I already did!😁th-cam.com/video/t-fMQOCKdig/w-d-xo.html The 1201 didnt last, but maybe it needs more coats...not sure,,,I would go with the Carpro Cquartz UK3.0 its awesome!
never saw a follow up on this vid???

You just answered my question of wether to get Dr Beasley’s plasma coat or not, I’m not, I’m getting the 1201 formula instead! Thank you sir!
Thanks! I’m going to grab some Plasma Coat also to try it out.

Yeah I think Beasley’s will be coming out with some new version of formula 1201 that makes it more durable.

Do you have to throw away the microfiber towels after the dr Beasley?
