@@hobiron-senpai5521 I'm not necessarily fully dedicated to learning Japanese, but a lot of what helped me is Duolingo, watching JP content, and an app called Kanji! (on app store, also play store but its called something different). It's an app with a gray-blackish background and a white kanji on the front and it's JLPT N1-N5. As for strategies, I'm not really 100% sure because having a really good memory has helped me a lot especially with kanji.
I also learned Spanish and got to a high B2-low C1 level (advanced/mastery) which kinda got my foot into the door for learning foreign languages.

Reine's English is also quite good with her use of "native" terms. She even uses "Saran Wrap" when talking about "plastic film for wrapping food". That's a pretty advanced local US/Canadian term.
I think it's because Reine is talented and also because she is from peafowl royalty (or similar IRL), so had some of the best language tutors.

@@nattobaby What do you mean "not really"? The fact that an Indonesian knew to use "saran wrap" rather than "cling wrap" that makes it quite amazing since it's American/Canadian slang. One that's not even "usually" used by your own admission.
Grabbing a "Kleenex" or making "Xerox copies" are also slang that most foreigners don't use. It's the fact that it's a brand that makes it rare that a non native speaker uses it. If Reine uses "Garburator" to refer to an "in-sink-erator" aka a garbage disposal, then we'll know if her English teacher was Canadian or American. ;-)

.... which I thought was a joke at the time but as I've gotten to learn more about the Japanese, I truly understand what he meant. This is why Anya is frequently told she is Japanese by native JP. They not only accept her, they practically insist she is one of them.

Someone needs to tell Subaru that the main reason why Anya is so damn good at Japanese is because she was motivated by a lot of the VNs she wanted to play not being in EN or ID language so she learned Japanese to get around that.
And now here she is, basically so good at it that she's considered Japanese-native by her own JP coworkers
