If it's good quality food you're after, you can't do much wrong with Belarusian cuisine! Especially with the so-called stolovayas, or canteens, you got a perfect place to fuel up while trying out classic, very inexpensive Russian dishes! Even better, if you go out to a weekly market and purchase the ingredients yourself and cook up some borscht in your own apartment, you bet it's going to be absolutely heavenly if you stick to the tried and tested recipes!

@@NyXeK I agree, matter of fact these prices seem to be on par with what we pay here in the U.S. So, makes me wonder how do regualar Belorussians afford this. And how is it that the currency exchange is only 3 to 1. Even Russia is 80 to 1 USD. The last time I checked Belarus was not in the top 100 economies of the world. So, it is puzzling to see an exchange ratio of just 3 to 1. Upvoted you.

@@sunmand6136 let me explain why, Belarusian central bank fixes the rate due to external, foreign currency denominated external debt, it fixed it in order to ensure debts wouldn't grow larger however currency devaluation was so strong they couldn't control it, it has nothing to do with size of one's economy (for example Japanese yen 150-160 yen per 1 USD, 4th largest economy)

If you plane use cache i advice you have EUR or USD, you can exchange their on local currency in any currency exchange point. Used cache is safety - crime rate is super low.
