- This is the first problem of Leverage Analysis in which I have shown how to calculate Operating Leverage, Financial Leverage and Combined Leverage.
After watching this video you will be very confident while solving Leverage Problems.

Another alternate method to find the new EBIT would be the normal Method of getting EPS only you stop when you find EBIT. SO the new sales after adding 600000 that is 3000000 and reducing the variable cost whichis 50% OF SALES so ITS 1500000 then reducting the fixed cost that is 1000000 and your EBIT would be 500000.

Because if the company sales is 100,000 and increase 1% of its sales it will be 1,000 if the vairable cost is 50% it means the remaining 50% will be profit because the fixed cost does not impact so it means 500 will be cost and 500 will be profit so this company DOL will 0.5

Please solve this: Consider the following data of XYZ Ltd. Selling price per unit Rs.60, Variable cost per unit Rs.40, Fixed cost Rs.3,00,000, Interest burden Rs.1,00,000, Tax 50%, Preference Dividend Rs.50,000.Calculate the three types of leverages if the number of units sold is 10,000.

21:56 if the sale increasing by 6L and we know that VC is 50% then we can do it with the help of VC (variable cost) also, new contribution will be Sale - VC = contribution, then we can deduct FC (fixed cost) to get EBIT
24,00,000+6,00,000 - VC(50%) = we will get contribution (15,00,000)
then deduct fixed cost :
15,00,000 - 10,00,000 (fc) = 500,000 (EBIT)

I have small doubt :
In this vedio last calculation about EBIT u did using formulas buy if we using the income statement sales - vc : contribution - fc : EBIT this way also get the same answer can I go with that instead of using formulas
obviously you can... see, u can choose any way .... he is only teaching us about more and more depth.... but if you want to calculate percentage change, then his formula will become useful when there is 2 or 3 projects are given
