After tearing apart the room to get the task, it simply reads: "Put the room back exactly as you found it. Your time started when you entered the room."
This is quite similar to the "Make the biggest mess... now clean it up" task, but a bit less mean-spirited (one of the contestants got quite upset if I recall). That said, I think having Alex come in with a photo of the set and playing spot the difference could be fun!

Peanut butter is lowkey one of the best baits to use for mice/rat traps. Gives off a lot of scent that animals will pick up but not be offensive to humans, and it sticks to the trap instead of being able to be picked up/carried. "Ingenious" simply means clever and creative, which I think Lee's contraption was more than Woz's net. He also captured the Rube Goldberg spirit of the mouse trap game the most.
@@patriciocastro6198, I'm sure I rewatched it before posting that comment, but I can't hear any mention of "practical" now. I suppose it's a good illustration of how inaccurate eyewitnesses can be.
7:12 I would like to make the argument that he (Mike) wasn't 3 meters away when the rat actually got trapped. "You must be at least 3 meters from the rat when you catch it"
The funniest thing I found is Lee's celebration. Presumably he wanted to hit the ball against the plunger and that would trap the rat. He missed the ball completely, yet he must have been relieved that the bat hit the plunger and the trap worked. Also Greg praising his shot was probably fake praise.
Is it just me or is the energy off in this episode? Greg just seems tired or sick. And it's weirdly quiet. Maybe it was the COVID restrictions but it just gave me some odd vibes
@@DemstarAus It's not a fake laugh track, true, but they just played the episode to an audience later after everything was filmed. Season 11 was during the height of Covid, so there was no live audience during recording.
It didn't say you couldn't be on it whilst setting up the trap, just had to be that distance away when the trap caught the rat. When he removed the "cheese" the rat had not yet been caught by the trap.
As an engineer my first thought was jam the signal from the remote. But the I don’t think I would have been able to construct a jamming device in 30min. At least not with the tools they had around. Plus it’s illegal so there is that. Would have been a creative solution though.
Disappointingly this is one of my least favourite tasks. The task should have had the rat going over a much smaller red mat in a straight line and if the contestant missed putting down their contraption it would have just went over it, much more room for failure and would have had more jeopardy to it instead of just having a remote control move the rat to wherever the contestant wanted the rat to move.
@@themug406 How so? Making the task easier by allowing the rat to go wherever the contestant wants it to go makes it less of a “trap the rat” task and more of a “do whatever you want” task

How the heck did the guy with the "green screen solution" get 1 point? He was definately not 3 meters away either...
but there's no proof of that.... xD
There was at least an attempt that theoretically could have worked, even if it ultimately needed some green screen help.
Even if you cant see his hand, the rest of his body is clearly less than 3 meters away as he places a stick with a bag ontop of the rat lol.
I would have most likely reflexively picked up the rat to read the task and celebrated right up until reading that I had to be 3 meters away...
