I think this little snippet demonstrates why a lot of amazing things happened with synths in the 70s. People (like Don) could play, and I mean _really_ play (and perform and compose and arrange). And THEN synths came along. Not the other way around.
I agree, Don was one of the real guys, not one of the hacks like me who is forever chained to his computer to record midi strokes of what I just did because my ability is so desperately subpar. I can write but my manual execution is akin to a donkey wearing a helmet.
