To what you said on able to throw a mile I took my lure to a football feild and tested how far I could throw maxed out my line at ab 122yards found the lure past the endzone thrown from the endzone grab some friends and a few 8th oz lures and have a comp prob be a fun bud too enjoy😊😊😊

Look up Reaction Innovations soft plastics. The Skinny Dipper. Mid size. Use a 5’ EWG hook. 10lb braid. Pallamar knot. Does this exact thing top water, but can also swim it under. Entirely weedless. Better hookups.
I have had this lure for over a year and haven't had any luck on lake st Clair with it. I've tried every color, tried a few different retrieval speeds and just can never put any in the boat with it
Never caught but 1 fish on it. But back in the late 90s I caught the biggest bass I've ever caught in north Carolina with a gaudy triple blade buzz bait in the rain. Just to say try all lures

How do people cast so far with their baitcasters? I just recently got my first decent one and no matter how much I adjust it I can only cast about 20-30 yards even with heavy lures. The only thing I can think is I do have some really thick 10lb mono on it maybe just too much drag from the thick line?
Has a lot to do with the quality of the reel. Also your rod has a lot to do with distance. It has to fully load to catapult the lure. If it's not bending on the back swing then it's to stiff for the lure you are using. Also make sure that your thumbing the spool and turn the brakes down as low as possible without backlashing. All these things will make a huge difference in casting distance. Just keep practicing and you'll master it in no time.
Kinda reminds me of a devil horse That was my brother‘s favorite top water plug for huge bass it worked great for stripers I used it a lot saltwater too

Not my lake. They don’t know what to think of it. I haven’t caught anything with it yet and my lake loves top water lures. Especially whopper ploppers I keep one tied on, but the hell razor none on my white or black one.
Here 9 months and a fishing season and a half later and I can confidently say this lure is trash compared to the old reliable plopper perch or 74 which has landed me multiple 18-20” bass in Michigan just bank fishing.
Ugh now I’m really kicking myself for not getting this I had it in my hand at my local cabelas but decided not to get it now I guess I gotta make a second trip
The hellraizer I had only caught dust that’s why I sold it with a bunch of other unproductive 6cents lures on eBay. Don’t waste you’re money on this nonsense, buzz bait, whopper plopper or a frog are much better options that actually catch fish.

You should try a Heddon Torpedo. I have some Tiny torpedo and Mini torpedo that I love.
