Using Cipher X + rank 4 to make Solflare wouldve been better because that leaves GEPD on the board. Then you SS Afterglow, use Trance to grab 2 level 8s, and then overlay for 90 and 38
I'm not sure if it's a TCG vs MD rules thing but it doesn't seem like it's possible to chain block the summon of Photon Emperor from the GY with the effect of Galaxy Photon Dragon because it goes like Galaxy Soldier SS -> Galaxy Soldier trigger -> Galaxy Photon Dragon trigger -> Photon Emperor GY effect trigger. You can block the effect Galaxy Soldier but not Emperor. But nevertheless really helpful video with a lot of insight, I just made this deck in MD and I love it.
I am unaware if MD rules it differently from TCG, but I do know that MD runs off the OCG rulings. Maybe they have it different over there. Nevertheless, you should be able to chain block everything. Soldier is a “When” effect, so that must be chain link 1. Both Emperor and GPD are “If” effects that both meet their conditions simultaneously, thus you can declare the order of your chain links between them. Glad the deck proves to be enjoyable!
@@battlecitybroadcasting Ah I see where the problem. MD doesn't let us choose which effect goes first it just asks for the GPD trigger first and then emperor second. Kind of a bummer.
On the first combo you did, the extra level 8 was because you didn't link off the Cipher X Dragon with the Galaxy Photon Dragon. That would have left Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon on the field and then you can use Galaxy Trance targeting Photon Emperor in grave. That gives you four level 8s to make Number 90 and Number 38. If you plan to leave the Cipher X on field and not use the Photon Emperor, then it would be better to leave Emperor attached so it revives next turn if anything happens to Cipher X
Exactly right. Thank you for pointing that out. I did it better in the second 2-card hand with Jumper. I typically detach the emperor to make sure I have 2 lvl 8s in the GY to use Last Hope. Now if you don’t have Last Hope, then yes, keep the Emperor under Cipher X.
LMAO I was worried at first too, but that double sleeving I have is SOLID. My cards are basically still in the same condition as when I first got them.

Are Bystials a big Problem?
If they have 1, it’s not that big of a deal, but 2 bystials do hurt since we love to get cards out from the GY.
