I’ve been knapping for a over a year and have STRUGGLED to thin pieces and successfully make an arrowhead. I’ve watched the beginners video dozens of times and I’m FINALLY starting to get better thanks to Knappeasy and your teachings. Thanks so much for making this stuff Ryan it has really helped me!
Hey Ryan, I’ve been knapping off and on for a few years now due to the fact that I’m disabled and it’s hard for me to sometimes get out and look for material. Your knap easy is a game changer. It helps me learn without having to go out and try to walk a lot of tricks. Thanks. Look forward to your next upgrade.
Great video, I have watched a few of your videos and greatly appreciate the instructions in detail. I have never knapped before, have always wanted to learn. I just submitted an order and look forward to learning. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us.
i've been trying to get my head around how you made a rock, knappable rock. i didnt even know it was possible hahaha nice job! also a suggestion, maybe when you are preparing orders like knifes/ arrowheads you could stream your knapping sessions on youtube, im sure many would wanna watch you knap for hours :) great vid as always
Hi Ryan, this seems like a great alternative to natural rock for learning the techniques of knapping. Unfortunately, my state (Pa) specifies "natural materials" for hunting with knapped points. This is something your many subscribers should be aware of and double check their own states.
If the law states that they must be made from "natural materials" then KnapEasy would also qualify. It is completely comprised of all natural earthen materials, made the same way that nature does, but it a controlled setting. If stone is legal, KnapEasy should be as well.
Great video, but the lighting was off somewhat. Most likely the problem was just that the material is white and it is hard to see where the flakes have come off. Will be ordering for sure.
I think it's porcelain. So, vitreous porcelain would be like honey at its mature temperature in the kiln. It would act like glass when flaked and would be super sharp....

Is it a ceramic? Or glass?

@@NeffTattoo its a mixture of a glass powder and porcelain clay powder formed into the "spall" form under heat and pressure until vitrification occurs
Does anyone know if KnapEasy will work in a flintlock yet
It's not designed for a flintlock so it will fracture and flake too easily on the frizzen
