K9s for Kids 2014

- Each December, the West Covina PD K9 Officers meet with children being treated at the Pomona Valley Hospital's Pediatrics Unit and bring Christmas with them. The Annual "K9's for Kids" Christmas Program was held again this year on December 17, 2014. Toys donated by the community are delivered to those kids who will be spending Christmas in their hospital beds. This year, WCPD K9 "Rec" happily greeted each child, making this Christmas even more special.
Toy collection begins after the Thanksgiving holiday. A collection box is placed in the WCPD front lobby area to accept all toy donations. For more information about the K9's for Kids Program, visit friendsofwcpdk9s.

Its great what you guy do. Truly public policeing. I also am impressed that when a child pets the dog the handler keep tight controls over the animal but lets the child interact with it.

All the toys that are donated for toys for tots should go to the kids in the hospital thank you so much for doing this I would love to have been there to help cuz I would love to do something exactly like this I always dreamed about it starting an organization toys for miracles and giving toys to the kids in the hospital it's so beautiful what you guys do keep it up

Even though this video is a few years old is a beautiful way to show that cops do have a heart and they are human as well... and they all deserve respect ✊ when they are out there protecting our lives. I know we have seen and heard if officers 👮♀️ not acting the right way, but we have to all understand that not all cops are bad.
