    I’ve been fit for every club in my bag and I can 100% say it makes a difference. The only advice I would give is try out a couple of fitters if you can, but once you find the right one then stick with them. As for my golf it’s going alright at the minute. I hurt my back about 8mths ago so it obviously took me a bit of time to get back into golf properly and recently I decided to adopt a permanent 3/4 swing to see if that would also help my back. It did. I play off 7hcp par71 course and my rounds since shortening my swing have been 81, 77, 77, 73, 76, 79, 78. So I’m expecting it to crash and burn soon😂😜, but until then I’m having a lot of fun....keep up the very interesting videos😀👍

    Thanks Jim. I was able to bend them all, with no issues. I bit tougher then forged.

    Liked the video, but just wanted to know how to measure shaft length and actually fitting clubs to my body size.

      Daniel Ward I have another video that talks about measuring club length check it out. In order to determine the length for you a dynamic fitting is required. Find a fitter, you won’t be disappointed

    Question Jim: Are the 714 AP1s bendable? I’ve played blades & forged irons since 1983. This is my first set of cast since ‘82. I have my own bending machine. Thanks.

      Brian Wampler yes they are and as in any bend be careful and only do 2 deg

    Hi. Great content on your channel. Can you do a small video on installing shafts with a shim 355 shaft in a 370 hosel? Or if you’ve already done shim installation, please post link.
    Thank you! 👍👍👍

    To be straight - I’ve now been fitted 6 times, all which where certified fitters, and each time the fitting turned out not to well! I just went got fitted in the last year and I’m questioning if I was fitted correctly.

    Great Video!!!One Question: Are their fittings that identify if clubs match each other throughout the set. Thanks

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be completing a specification of the current clubs and comparing them to the findings of the fitting

      Thanks for the Response:
      Does that process take a long time? Do you have to dissemble the clubs to do that?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Specing a club doesn't take long but an entire set can be time consuming. We will be covering this a further down the road.

      Your current set can be checked for shaft spline alignment and matched swing weight. (so they "match")

    whats your take on strengthening the lofts on irons? does it hurt a club in any way?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you strengthen the loft the bounce does down giving the club more of a chance to dig. Now, if you are picker that isn't going to be an issue. When bending irons there is always a chance for breakage, however small, I have bent thousands of irons and have broken 2.

    • @dansapp6619

      thanks for the input. i am definitely not a picker so i probably should keep all the bounce i can. love the videos BTW. very informative!

    I did it all right last year. Got fitted by a Wishon approved fitter. Sold me a complete set of clubs and 2 drivers. Not worth a shit!! Cost me $2700 for fitting and clubs and they are useless to me. The point here is: No matter where you go for a fitting, they want to sell you clubs and the cost of fitting and act like they know it all and you know nothing. How the hell do you find a decent fitter who really 'knows his stuff' and will do right by you. YOU DON'T!!!. Yeah, nowadays 'golf fitters' are coming out of the woodwork and all over the place, but until you try out the new fitting and pay them your money, you don't know what you are getting....period. Burned once.......never again.

      Did you feel happy and confidant with the clubs that you picked as the best fit for you at the fitting? Were you hitting them the most consistent and easiest? You should never go to a fitting feeling like you have to buy, its like a car test drive, you dont like it you just move along.

      My Wishon fitter has not pushed any clubs on me. I purchased online and he is willing in helping me with any problems I may have with this set. When the weather is better and I have tested the driver on a course, I may have him shorten the shaft. And he was the one to suggesting that he would do it. He wants me to be a better golf no matter what the club set is. Look around your area for other fitters and talk to them. Good luck.

      keith irvine . I think getting a custom fit is definitely worth the time & money. The right shaft alone makes a big difference. But like what was said, you do NOT have to buy. If you do purchase I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing some research beforehand into the pricing where you can. I have a local fitter that does do fantastic work but the pricing can be through the roof. Remember that they're in business to make money. So with a little research you might find the shaft they quoted being a $400 shaft, is only a $200 shaft. Again, you do NOT have to buy.
