It isn't. It is a viable and old strat. Remember Hamada/Al Sundan airfield. Besides, no one stops you from just leaving your aircraft and clear them before you start. Also, you can do t yourself, it isn't bound to just one faction 😐

In breakthrough you can also camp on the japanese airfield in a tank after taking b and shooting the planes as they spawn in. On the american side there is a ship on the left of spawn that is in bounds that you can camp with a fligerfaust with direct line on one of the carriers. It also has ammo and health resupply stations on it.

Another dirtry start I encounter. In Pacific storm near the US middle runway there is a small ship that japanese side can land during sector 1. That ship complete with Ammo and health resupply and assault players can camp there with flieger and shot down any plane trying to take off at the middle runway. I spawn as infantry, took a boat, go there, kill him then tbag him to get my revenge.
