You have a excellent set-up for Rams. The only thing that would make them even happier, in my view, would be the removal of the other fish that keep passing the spawning point. They say stressors can cause the Ram to consume their fry.
Wonderful Rams, fabulously planted tank, and superb Strauss waltz. It is rare to find such fine music on a TH-cam Aquarium channel. Congratulations on your good taste!
This is Adorably Great!!! Awesome fish... I have a separate tank set up and waiting for it to completely cycle so I can move my Rams into there to breed... they keep breeding in the tank with all the other fish and the other fish keep eating the eggs...
Excited to try my hand at breeding these beauties. Bought a male and 2 females recently and the male has paired with one of the females. Might have to grab another male lol
really love ur tank, wondering do u have algae problem , I got algae on my thermometer, wall of tank and some on the Eleochalis acicularis really disturb me. how can u control it so well , plz teach me
+JClaude Moran Yes. I premix and heat around 40g of RO/DI water with GH booster and baking soda (KH) in a garbage can. Then use that water for weekly water changes on my tanks.
were is your ph level with the rams,, i was wanting to know because i am about to pick up a couple today, ive added stuff to my tank to try and get my ph down , i havnt checked it yet to see were its at but as of yesturday and a water change my ph was around 7.6, just wondering because i want to start breeding them
@stephenpgordon I was using a pressurized setup (20lb tank, dual stage regulator) that was feeding a DIY15" CO2 reactor at a rate of around 4 bubbles per second. Reactor was inline with a Eheim Ecco 2234 canister filter.
Lights were on 8hrs a day from noon until 8pm. In the mornings it was lit from ambient room light. There was a small LED light on my light bar (moonlight) that kept the tank dimly lit at night.
Beautiful video and music.
It's so interesting watching the parents keep their fry in a tight group.

OMG! Your aquarium looks great.
I also had lots of fry from my rams but now they are all grown up and over populating the tank T.T
lmao the way the male sucks up the fry that get away and spits them back into the nest is hilarious

Beautiful tank and rams! Where did you get those guys? :D I bet they're really happy in there
Whats plants are they? the grass looks very nice.
i got a DIY Co2 injector but cant get anything near that sort of healthy growing from my plants.
Beutiful setup and fish exelent job !
Rams actually do better having dither fish around. So to remove the other fish would actually cause stress on the rams.

wow they are on HIGH AGGRESSIVE MODE
Love the tank
Really great parents. Was ph the key to a successful spawn?
You done a very good job with the layout of the tank good job. Where can I purchase the grass from? ty
stunning tank - a lot of nice work there :)
what is the name of the plant shown in the mid ground where the babies are at? Behind the grass.
Very rare video great job. ?
Very nice! What temperature do you keep this tank at? And ph/kh?
Temp 80-81F, PH 6.5-6.7, KH 3-4.
+subconsciouscape Appreciate the reply. So you use RO/DI water for this one?
+JClaude Moran Yes. I premix and heat around 40g of RO/DI water with GH booster and baking soda (KH) in a garbage can. Then use that water for weekly water changes on my tanks.

hello,
my blue rams just had fry, and a couple days until they begin to free swim. what do you feed them?
Rams would leave the bigger shrimp alone.
@buterscotchpudd The fry nest is in a clump of fissidens fontanus. Other plants: Hairgrass, glossostigma, hygro kompakt, bacopa and some java ferns.
It is eleocharis vivipara?
wondering how come that the shrimp have not been eaten by ram?

Nice fishes!.....co2?
What do you feed your fry?
what camera are you using?
what diffuser?
Is that hair grass?
I would start off feeding them vinegar eels. After a month or so I could feed them bigger food like Hakari First Bites and crushed flakes.
Are u using easy carbo?
nah he take them in mouth to movethem back to the group, like cats and dogs do too xD
why can't i here the music?
I'm guessing the pH was around 6. At the time my water parameters was at 4dGH and 1-2dKH.
how are your plants so beautiful
Fissidens Fontanus,aka Phoenix Moss
@gekkofinger yep
I use a CO2 reactor i built from PVC.
sad he is eating i his/her babies noooo lol
nbaker10 he is not eating bust moving.
