I just discovered this channel just a day ago and I've already torn through so many videos and shorts just in awe of how honest, relatable and insightful Evan is. So stoked I found you bro, thank you so much for all that you share and do, you're so encouraging to my wife and I as we seek to start our own business this year. Much love from Canada ❤🇨🇦😊
This channel is so _underrated_
If you haven't been in business that long, understand this *GOLD*
Thank you for sharing your journey Evan. You are a true motivator. Keep going strong. I love you.
Some gold nuggets in this! Thanks! I've started a product business in 2021 that has now mostly failed. Found your channel about a month ago and started watching. I have learned several lessons from your vids that you have helped me figure out where the mistakes were made. Thanks again for your wealth of first hand exp. My nugget to you is Wisdom comes from Knowledge, Knowledge comes from Experience, Experience comes from Failures. The wisest of us have made or witnessed the most mistakes.
GOLD info!! 🎉🎉🎉
Glad it was helpful!
Woodworking tip: Next time you drill into wood like that, cover both sides with masking tape before you drill. The wood won't splinter as much and will really speed up your process. I enjoyed watching your video! Learning through your owned mistakes is so key to being an entrepreneur :)
And get a sharp forstner bit, should never have to put that much down pressure on it.
Thank you for this content! You have no idea how much of a help it is for the rest of us that are just starting out.
The older I get, the more I realize two things. There’s more stupid people than smart people. There’s more people that don’t care than people that do care. Artisans, Craftsmen, people that take pride in work are so hard to find.
If you work for someone and that work and attention to details are not appreciated you slowly lose your motivation...
I wish I could start my own business, but doing 2 jobs at once is too much
It’s not about stupid people per say it’s about stupid people who think they are smart
Your an inspiration brother ❤
Thank you for sharing .. Greatly appreciate it. As stated in other comments, it is of great help to hear how you approached the challenges of running a business.
Happened to my car rental business, random video and I watched every 23:50 mins of it. I had todo the same thing. I'm still lost lol
I'm currently going through the hardest month I've had in 17 years. Thanks for putting this out
So much amazing info in here, can't help but think you're playing dumb. You had me laughing the whole video- "I hired a bunch of people for operations" me- "great that gives you time to go out and grow the business" you- "But I wasn't growing the business" 😅
Thank you very much for this video! I extremely appreciate and love that you share your experiences very honestly.
Could you please make a video on how to build relationships with these retail stores?
Amazon has the client list.
That is a great lesson learned.
I feel you. Twice this year I've been on the brink of bankruptcy in my business and I'm going into the hardest time of my year. I have no daylight between me and total failure.
priceless information. thank you Evan
Great video
“2020 gave me a false sense of security.”
Are you me?
Overall, All handmade wooden goods sites are down this year. My sales have tanked and I am pivoting in '25 to a different field altogether. I'm out. Hobby activitiy is one thing, but a commercial endeavor is not worth the headaches in anything wooden craft or home decor related.
How much if any of the revenue from this channel go into the craft supply business? I respect the thesis of this video and its raw nature; everyone needs to hear this kind of lesson at one time in business or another. My question is simply out of curiosity if use the revenue from the channel for the supply business or is a personal revenue stream. Thanks for your content and I hope to repay your generosity one day.
🌴🌴🌴 Awesome video 👍
Your Honesty will grow your business. Always be honest about everything. Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
This past two last month have been the worse in my bussiness haven't make not even 5k in two months 😢
That happened to me and I got scammed
I f you are making 1m in revenue then depends on your margin- less overhead fixed costs- less living costs= how many staff you can hire.
wisdom is beautiful
