- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 14 ม.ค. 2025
- There have been few sailing seasons quite like it. From the Olympics and the America's Cup to the $2million finale in SailGP, 2024 will go down as having the biggest billing for years.
In this episode we take a look at all three, plus we take a close look at what makes an AC75 rig such an advanced design and engineering exercise, along with what it might mean elsewhere in the sport.
Plus, Danish builders X-Yachts explain why they have invested so much time effort and money into rejoining the racing scene with their new Xr41
And of course as always there's a full helping of Docktalk presented by round the world record holder Dee Caffari.

I see you're still not too interested in saying which segments are payed for ads, and which aren't. It's rather confusing, and feels dishonest.
Im sailing away from this channel...such a shame its gone this way!
Great channel!
Really looking forward to the next season of SailGP !
Really shitty to fill your content with unmarked ads.
You can always skip them...
They help fund the great content produced by PlanetSail .
If the racing helmets make a difference in speed and speed advantage, why don't the crew simply dress in aerodynamic cycle suits like the Tour de France of the British cycling teams ?
My first Americas Cup was 67' when Bus Mosbacher sailed Interpid to victory. I watched 3 races from the deck of a carrier. My day was Mayor of Middletown.
Will itfall over!!!????

This is 80% or more infomercials. Very lazy content.
Watched a little - just ads - why?
as normal... if you are rich you get better views. hardly inclusive is it?
Can't wait for the 22th August races
Go kiwis 🥝 go .,.👋

Watched the sailing this morning. To me the skill set of the sailors/cyclists are much higher than the previous Americans Cup. Besides that the sailing was boring boring boring.
What's with the stupid ads? who wants fking cavier on toast? Thats where this video ended for me.
Actually... I don't watch this channel to get served up a load of adverts.
Do better.
Sail GP would be much better if it was not so stoked with Nationalism!
??? He covered several nations.
@@keevee09@keevee09 My comment is not about Matthew's coverage, which is excellent, but about how Sail GP would be more enjoyable without the nationalist angle. I don't care what country the cats or sailors are from. They are people, they are boats, and they are great sailors... Leave the nationalism to the Olympics and the politicians.
American Magic looks very fast.
Does anybody actually care about sailgp? I love to watch the olympic sailing and will be watching every minute of AC coverage. But SailGP leaves me totally cold. What are the viewing figures like? I get that they will get a decent on site crowd, especially venues they haven't been to before. But what about TV / online viewers??
It's simply NOT sailing, this is hydrofoiling. Some people need to read the dictionary definition of sailing.
Need to upgrade the dictionary
