In order to not damage your units clips, while off a wall, attach a piece of thick plastic in the back top slit, rather than in the 2 hole clips, lifting up with open the clips so you can remove the cover, the lense is also removable but its easy enough you wont damage the unit

We have those at my school, and my God, do we CHERISH that little click before it goes off. They are loud alarms and it gives us some time to wince. Love that alarm.

I heard this alarm several times in a real building because I went to school with these things and schools required to do drills and this is what was installed

Ah... the memories of my freshman and sophomore year in high school... They changed to the new EST Genesis line with LED strobes. Still prefer the small ones.

The exact same fire alarm type is at my school same color and everything!😱😱
Fun Fact: EST provides you with an optional trim plate for the genesis horn strobes mainly for retrofitting.
They have these at the Plaza I work at in Thonotosassa FL (Winn Dixie, Hungry Howies, Dollar Tree, Laundromat, Direct Auto Insurance, Etc.) They have the smaller ones and the ones with a square plate surrounding it and the doubled ones in the building and the integrities outside) and have the SIGA-278's as pull stations. They are cool alarms and they also used the EST Genesis brand at my elementary school along with the True Alerts in the portables. They were on code 03 but not very loud. The EST's were in the building and some portables while they had a couple of True Alerts left in one of the Portables (Art Portable) for example. The school converted to the EST Brand in 2006 after they renovated it when I was a kid there. Interesting.
That square plate surrounding it is called a trim plate.

My School has these and some new apartments in my area have just recently installed them an I will say they are very sleek alarms in general

Not always it all depends on Volume settings like on High it's indeed very loud on low it's less loud like 75-80 Decibels @@davidbian2466
The EST genesis ceiling alarm is way bigger then the wall mounted. You should do a review on the EST genesis ceiling.

That little click before it goes off is barely heard in my elementary school.
It's good to have that alarm in a storage room that is full of stuff. It's probably even small enough to fit in your back pocket.

at my school the pull station is an est siga 278 the alarm is the est genesis inside and outside is the est integrity without the fire lettering

Other than the sound and the multi-candela strobe, this does not look too much different from my G1R-HV15 in the overall design.
He should have mentioned how easy it is to get a shock from the strobe capacitor

Once you set your genesis to continuous it’s permanently set to continuous you can’t change it back to code 3 unless if you get another EST genesis

We have these at school, and talking ones, that say:
Attention, attention. An emergency has been reported in this building. Please (inaudiable) operation, and leave the building utilizing the nearest exit, or fire exit to stairway! Do not use elevators. I repeat, do not use elevators!
SER safety-How did u get ur screws out of your est Genesis because I feel I like the screws r stuck in there forever
You unscrew e m just a little bit and then they don't come off all the way but they kind of do
I got them out, but it takes forever. You basically unscrew the black plastic square thing from it and pull the screw out.

A 16, 24, or 33 volt cord and then split it up and attach the positive to postive and negative to negative

Theres a very small switch in it. I havent worked with one of these in a while but I can say that it is hard to find.
This alarm can only do code 3. I've known it for a long time
