I did know Pentatonix when I saw this, but I agree it doesn’t feel too much they’re specual guest stars. I guess their theater background helps. The coreogrphies are somewhat riddiculous, probably on purpose. Someone in my choir said her husband asked if our normal practice inludes dancing on tables. :)

This past week Scott posted a great dance collab piece on Tik Tok. That scene with Mitch singing those high notes in Chandelier and dancing effortlessly. is just beautiful to watch. BTW the last song that played in the background was PTX original Light in the Hallway and that was Avi singing.

When Mitch goes that high, he tends to use his head or mixed voice, because it just sounds less strained. His range has expanded since, so maybe it is possible, but the high notes in Chandelier were with head voice.
No, he can't. Kirstin's high note in Seasons of Love is higher than anything Mitch has recorded. Mitch is phenomenal but fans that think countertenors sing higher than mezzo-sopranos are not knowledgeable.
