I am 61 years old and was Retired by my job 2 weeks ago. As a result I am going to start my Notary business and am so glad I found your video. You made some excellent points that I am taking to heart. Thank you so much for your transparency and honesty. Please wish me luck in this new endeavor.
Good luck on your new endeavor! I’m 55 years old . I’m also interested in the Notary business myself. I just have to get comfortable using Social Media.
I advise look at the need in your area with local offices I've had so much trouble starting in Southern Mass. The text blasts are not accepting my "yes." I am in an attorney state and did not absorb what that meant. Go to horse's mouth before you study & spend on anything.
@@lindaherard6249 I am also 55. Just starting to learn about the business. I am ready to soak up ALL the knowledge I can. INCLUDING social media! It can be intimidating I know that, however, we are absoluty able to learn new things. Just breath and take it one step at a time. Keep watching videos on You Tube about things you don't understand yet. It works. Best of luck to you, although I KNOW you've GOT THIS!
I bought the books and paid for a notary course 15 years ago. I'm 68 now, I finally have decided to slow down enough to become a notary. No more procrastinating. Thanks for your advice.
I’m a multi licensed insurance agent. I’m also wanting to add notary signing agent as passive income. You gave me so much insight and inspiration. Thanks.
I have been in the banking industry for 10 years and was a public notary for many early years in my career. I can’t believe I never thought about doing this as a business… I already have all the knowledge for loan signing and a lot the knowledge for apostle work. Your videos are great, I appreciate the transparent and factual information. I am curious to see the breakdown of your expenses vs your income and what those margins actually look like. Also, you’ve mentioned in some of your videos E & O insurance, can you do a segment on this and breakdown why it’s needed?
I love how you articulated this, and did it in a way that was easy to understand and made it very accessible to everyone.. I am currently a notary myself in Washington state and I would love to see a video on a 101 on technology and how to do a wrong and all that. What kind of equipment you need etc.. I added Ron to my notary license in Washington state, but I have not.
Love this! You are kind, thorough, and stylish! Thank you for posting this video when you don’t have to. I recently received my Notary commission in Cali! Woo hoo! I work full time and have two little ones so I definitely will be a part time NP. I’m so nervous but excited! New Subscriber here! ❤
Amber, you have no idea how much I APPRECIATE this video. This is confirmation of why I will always be in this business. It is a real business, and this is proof positive of what I've been saying. I returned to the business after moving to a new State and I am super excited. You have to think outside of the box and explore all areas of Notarizations. Thank you again for your video a true inspiration.👏👏💞💞💞
Thank for the helpful tips. I will definitely be using this as a temple in maximizing my time to get my business known to others. Notary public from NY. Thanks a bunch. Good information.
I decided my niche was going to be for incarcerated individuals but when I called the jail they said they already had notaries at the jails. Should I find another niche or call other jails and reach out to some criminal attorneys to see if they need notaries?
@@grittogrowth you are so welcome, if you have time, do you think a notary can earn a decent full time income in any city, I live in Mobile, Alabama with a population of a little over 200,000
Thank you so much for this info. Not many people sharing these particular tips. I found it very insightful and informative. I am now going to study how to put a business plan together. I think I was putting the cart before the horse, so I have to back up and fix my mindset. At least I’m sure I can be successful in this business. Much appreciation to you!
You are on point. I now have collaborated with other notaries to farm out work. I charge a percentage for the referrals. I have even received Grants in my state...you are right...have your business plan together... it helps to secure funding.
Thank you for the great advice. I'm just getting started and want to know how you put together your business plan. I retired after 25 years in a career. Prior to that, I had 7 years experience in escrow with two terms as a notary for the escrow companies. So, I lack small business experience. I'm willing to learn and work hard because I am a single mom with two teenagers still at home. Thank you in advance for any additional advice.
Hello Amber. I really enjoyed watching and listening to you in this video. The advice you gave is golden and I appreciate all of it. Thank you! 🙏🏽 I was sworn in about a week ago in NC. Do you have any advice on purchasing the best notary stamp?
Hello Amber, I have been following your page for a while. I just wanted you to know that I have completed the essentials Training and now taking the signing agent training course with the NNA. I would love for you to be my mentor let me know what you think about that.
Hello Anber, thank you for this jewel of information. Im just starting, but have not done a signing as of yet. I feel frozen or some anxiety but ready. Any advice?

As a notary signing agent am I only allowed to notarize in the state I reside in?
Yes! Some states allow for anyone that has a business license in that state
