You have such a gift !! I could watch you with horses all day ! And I loved how you added God what life is really about !! Yes, I was surprised but in a very good way !! Thanks for the vid !! ❤️🐴❤️
Thank you for this. I've used whips for decades with abused horses, untrained horses, old and young. I've NEVER struck a horse with a whip but a lot of people over the years would judge me just because they saw it. Horses terrified of whips soon learned I wouldn't hurt them with it. Like you, I used them to direct and give light touches. The horse is a reactive but wise soul. They can feel our emotions and even the most scared of abused horses soon learn what the person with them is all about. We read them and they read us. If we betray them then the trust is damaged but even then I've seen horses forgive those who hurt and scared them. Don't damn all things that could be used to hurt. Teach those who misuse them to use them wisely or report those who abuse with those things. As an equestrian collective, it's up to us to protect our equine partners and friends. So, instead of condemning anyone with a whip in their hand, watch how that whip is used, learn how that whip is used, condemn the ones who think causing pain to any soul is ok. "Climbing off my soapbox" You keep training the way you are. The relationship you have with your horse is a beautiful thing to watch.
Thank you!! Well said. Yes, we can absolutely do better both with our horses and each other if we are willing to be humble, discuss, and keep growing. And horses are remarkably forgiving!!
I say this with all respect, but this really wasn’t the point of the video. If a horse is scared of the whip, it tells me he wasn’t prepared or introduced to it in the right way at some point in his life. While horses are forgiving and can gain the trust back, no one is making you use any tool that you don’t want to 😊

Thank you! All the glory goes to God who gave me my gifting and I plan to make more content about faith and horses as he inspires me.
