Great review Kartikeya Singhee..... its because of u n autocar India that v r in tune with the latest launches before any other channel can even think of. Thanks. :)
well prices have been disclosed and they are mouth watering.. bikes like hyosung gt250, cbr 250, cbr 150 are redundant now. it will face some competition from ninja 300 and R15 still.. although they are in different price segment.. but surely will eat into Ninja's territory
Well I have always found the 300-500 cc bikes more fun than 600 or 1000cc.May be its a personal taste or may be the 300s are more forgiving ,(my latest purchase duke rc 390)but I have always unleashed myself more on the 300-500 cc bike category than on the larger engines.Hence had way more fun on a usable power range than on the massive zx 14r with more or less unusable(read fatal or un-unforgiving) power unless you are on a race track. The 300s have always been a less gorgeous/awesome but way more friendly girlfriend than the gorgeous but self centered 1000s.
No it's not true. If that were the case the ss would cost more than the rc390 because bajaj would have to pay for the patented engine from KTM. Instead they are going to get a similar engine directly from KTM with some slight difference and bajaj is going to add their own technology to it. (Exhaustec and something else I don't remember) So there will be a difference in engine power and the KTM bikes will always be better than that of bajaj's
Wow, why get worked up? You can read up on news articles about Bajaj and KTMs partnership. The sub 800s are designed and developed in India. KTM, Austria only looks into quality control. If you have any doubts, please check Overdrive. As for their financial performance, KTM was in a precarious state even before the financial crisis.
Krishnan Ravichandran lol I'm not worked up by this at all. I really doubt the design is done here. Maybe they mod it a bit as the pollution control is much more lenient here than in European countries.
When this bike enters Indian markets, Indian guys can finally leave the r15 to the proper gender. Seriously guys, r15 is meant for women. R15 looks so much better when chicks ride it!!
kanwarjit sidhu true. But look at the people in other countries. They drive 1000cc bikes to commute everyday. But then, their roads are a hundred times better than ours
Kevin Thakur i have lived in US and had 1000cc bike myself. no such thing as 1000cc bike to work everyday, weather is one factor. in india it is roads as well as traffic volume. here i have ridden in heavy traffic on my Bullet. i was surprised to see 100cc guys doing better than me. now i use my NANO more than my Bullet. i even have a Bajaj 150cc but NANO is my best bet in the city
Kevin Thakur Then get a 100c for commuting and KTM for fun. u will enjoy it more. or if possible a NANO for commuting.don't forget NANO engine is a motorcycle type engine. i enjoy mine like a motorcycle. KTM will last longer be free of little scratches if used for fun only
kanwarjit sidhu oh OK. But tbh, I don't enjoy driving cars in this country. I drive my dad's indica vista sometimes but it's a very stressful experience and I don't like to use it at all if I'm allowed to. But I'll keep in mind what you said about keeping another 100cc bike. Thanks.
Kevin Thakur Ur welcome, i went into a Honda showroom and i was stunned by their 109cc bikes. basic ones for R41k. do check that one for a commuter. enjoy ur big bike as a sports bike. in US i had 8 bikes so more than one is OK
Too flashy....duke already overdoing it with too mch orange....they shud hv tried to keep it simple so its cud be relatable to everyone not just 18 year olds
omg it finally arived my dream motercycle

looks great
Can you guys make a comparison video of KTM 390 Duke and RC390?
Does it have dual channel abs ?
waiting for 390
Rc 390 beats Kawasaki ninja ... anyday ... hence beating the bikes r25 ,cbr 300.. husung 250r ,etc ...
Awesome
Much rather have the Duke.
How does it sound ? Cant guess through the video.
riders height and weight?
KTM RC 390 frnt styling, I don't like it rest it is too good. I love something like yamaha r3 or ducati look.
increasing center of gravity makes a bike agile? seriously?
Yes. Because it takes less inclination to make the same angle of turn as the ones with lower gravity centre.
i read somewhere that the pulsar 400 SS is going to have the same engine that this bike has, someone knows if it's true?

It will be 2 cyl...so this ain't it...for now
Hirokjyoti Deka from what source did you read that it's going to be 2 cylinder? do you have a link or something ?

nobody is going to use it as a commuter in city traffic

Too flashy....duke already overdoing it with too mch orange....they shud hv tried to keep it simple so its cud be relatable to everyone not just 18 year olds
I'm 35 and I I've the way it looks.
