One tip. I was taught, when the skier is ready for the boat to go, not to use the word go because it sounds too much like no. Say, the rope got rapped around the skiers hand and the skiers yelled out NO, the boat driver may think go. We use either OK or hit it.

Cannot agree enough. Errant ropes will seriously mess you up. We use "punch it!"

Getting up on two is stupid easy. Getting up on one, not so much, but depends on the driver, the ski, the speed, the skier, the prop, and the conditions of the water. Dropping is easy, slalom is more fun, but must go at least 22 mph, depending on weight, ski length, etc...
22 for me slalom is doable but slower than should be. 22.5 foot pontoon with a 115hp and power prop made for faster starts. Slalom should be 26-36 depending on skill level.

You need to keep your weight back and make sure the boat goes very fast. Before you try though stay on 2 and put all weight on one ski and lift the other one up about a cm. Remember you do not have to but the other foot at the back you can have it as a trail foot to your side
