    Reminds me of the time when I saw a macaque and he was jumping around among the tress, obviously disturbed by my presence. The confused look on his face while hoping that I would leave soon was hilarious. All these majestic creatures are in peril more than ever, and I hope ventures such as these would create more awareness among the public. A great documentary.

      I don't think you will miss them. Just before the actual town of Valparai you have very high chances of seeing them crossing the roads. Good luck.

    At 6:58 you show a female carrying 2 infants. Did she take one from another female or are they twins? If they are twins, did she menage to raise them both?

      Education is a mix of science and business. Wildlife knowledge is only through observation in the field for last 15 years and reading a lot about each animal before I head out to photograph or film them.

    They didn’t mention how big they general get? or how long monkey children stay with parents? Is it dominant patriarch/matriarch? Certain behaviors that make them different/similar to other macaques.....

    • @poornakedar
      @poornakedar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point. Due to time constraints some aspects couldn’t be showcased.
      About the leader of the group, alpha males, we have a sequence where we talk about them.
      The kids stay with the group always and they don’t generally leave the group even once they become adults.
