  • Every week, Eco India brings you stories of innovations from across India and Europe, and the people who make them possible. Our top story this week looks at how an eco-tourism initiative is providing a platform for homegrown scientists to study the rich biodiversity of the Western Ghats, and provides a safe space for visitors to coexist peacefully with it.

I had the good fortune to sail with him for six months as a cadet. Without a shred of doubt I can say he has inspired and encouraged me then and even now after seeing such a beautiful forest and the effort that has gone in protecting it. Goan villages already witnessed the drying up of a little river that is fed by a tributary from the Mhadei, and then floods when our sacred rivers burst their banks, all in the same year. Entrepreneurs, as groups, centralizing in places around the planet,
    Conservation zones..
And may each create their own local currency/ crowd-sourced funds..
May the core groups produce a valuation of the lands, and all infrastructure & revenue streams, maintained in such way for future generations..
May true/ real value of the species and serene , beautiful habitats .. be the new sacred value system, in which we mint all that we value into currency form, & fund the world we all wish to share for all future generations.

Nothing will improve if vested interest is more vital and important then life and death of the general public. Bribe comes in huge amount to politician and beureaucrats from the builder mafia, thereby permission for deforestation is granted. The justification for the permission is prepared in either of the way depending upon the party and person involved. So, public or people is cutting the branch on which they are sitting and waiting for the disaster. Person on the higher strata thinks they can stray away from the environmental disaster due to his financial position. So, They are the person who is giving SERMON to the common people and doing all illegal things.
