OMG SUNNY! I only just saw this video ... and you featured MY Channel 😱 and my most popular video "How To Bake A Cake" in it!🥰 That is such an honour, thank-you. The really weird part is, I've been your loyal fan now for a few years and I just wanted to watch one of your older videos and this one popped out to me. But guess what? After, first if all being shocked (in a really good way) to see you talking about my video and channel as an example of Gate-Way videos, I looked at the next video you had published and realized that, that the next video was the first video I ever watched on your channel! I haven't missed an episode since then, but totally was unaware that just one week prior to becoming your subscriber and huge loyal fan, you had featured me in your video! WOW! That is so cool! Talk about Law of Attraction! AND since learning from you, the video you featured in this video has gone from 1 Million to over 5 Million views and my subs have gone from 10,000 - over 40,000. PLUS after my coma, waking as a lung patient who could no longer bake, I've made a huge overhaul of my channel. I just wanted to share my story with you because I'm just completely in awe of the fact that you featured me on your channel and that I only noticed because i happened to click in an old video while waiting for your next new one to come out. I use the Movavi Video Editor it is so awesome! I think my editing style is very distinct but I have no clue how to describe it!
Hi, Sunny. Thank you for all that you do. My favorite style of editing on this platform are "cuts only" editing, which are just straight cuts between clips. I like using the branding elements as ways to extend the brand, as well as a way to showcase brand diversification, and tie everything together, along with the message. For my channel it makes sense, but for others that produce more cinematic content, the story would dictate the picture cutting style, pacing, use of B-roll, audio and visual effects, all of that stuff. 😃
Thumbnails... something which makes a huge difference. I started to pay attention to them and shoot them separately before I even start recording my video few weeks ago and I noticed huge difference. Thanks for all your videos... you are doing really awesome job.

Started TH-cam a few weeks back and from all the things you and others have said it seems like for most slow and steady wins the race. So staying consistent and improving after each video is what will allow for us to succeed on TH-cam. I'm slowly doing that for myself and having a lot of fun with it!
I love how Sunny practices what she preaches and that is evident on her channel. I also enjoy how she goes into so much detail! It is really helpful to me ( a small TH-camr ) when she does those things! And it's also super fun when she engages in the comments! This is great! We all know that by having a BOLD thumbnail will make our page stand out! I’m currently using Phonto and PicMonkey to do my thumbnails. Are there any other programs to create the best thumbnail?

Hey krissy, i use Canva and design bold. the free version for both.Deign bold lets you upload your own fonts where as canva doesnt so i use both Hope this helps. Good luck on your thumbnails. 😊

For me facebook has helped a lot because it’s your core followers and friends and they are more likely to support you 💕

You know, I have been thinking about the comments you guys made and I know what you are talking about. Because my Facebook is full of friends and family who don’t support me I feel really nervous posting on fb more than any other platform.
I guess what I wanted to say is that it Can be easier to build a community on facebook because of the way it’s set up they have more shareable options.

Thank you for the tips! Right on point. As a personal preference as cinematographer I dont like green screen backgrounds because they can make a big mess in post production. I talk about lighting for youtube videos in my channel if anyone is curious. There are ways to make your home studio look more cinematic in a very small budget.

The thumb was a factor. We have been playing with text vs no text and with colors too. We're finding the same results as you, so far. Never thought about branding the description, but we have been doing it without thinking about it. Can you do a video on each platform? Had no idea long content worked for Instagram. My favorite editor is Jamie from Jamie & Nikki. I love how he stylizes the video from a vlog to montages and back again and it keeps me interested in the daily life of the Perkins family. With that in mind, I have always enjoyed the idea of gateway (filling the holes) type of videos, but they seem harder to name than to actually video (sometimes anyway). Anyway, thank you so much Sunny for this video, it came at a marvelous time!

Two channels I like (but I am not in the same market) TheStradman and Sailing La Vagabonde. These channels are polar opposites, but I really love the personalities of the people behind the camera.

Holy Cow! It has been a fun several months of just watching your videos and trying to learn from the best of the best. You are AMAZING, Sunny! And, SUCH an inspiration to everyone who comes in contact with you and your content! Can I clone you, pretty please?? I am finally going to take the leap and just start from scratch and will be experimenting in the most beginner-beginner ways. I will definitely learn from bumps and bruises, or what I like to call "Guinea-Pigging."
