1. I love that John Stamos was even in this revival! 2. Gerry Vichi is always hilarious! 3. Lillias White is phenomenal in this role! The scatting at the end is on point! 4. Ronn Carroll dancing in the background makes me smile!
I saw his first night after he took over from Matthew Broderick, he was excellent!! I love this version so much more than the newer revival - they made the song so much better with the gospel tones!
I said this in another thread, I read in a book that this was the original arrangements of the song, but when it first premiered on Broadway, producers though this version was "too ethnic" and the other version was used. The creative team reached out to add this version in the his revival. I like this version better' it builds into a true 11 O'clock number. The most recent revival was fun, but very square.
when I saw matthew do this number, i thought on my God, this is Ferris Bueller all grown up and being mischievelously impy in all of his glory with the choreography, it kind of reminded me of bugs bunny doing ballet. Choregrapher Wayne Cilento had a very clear image of a devilsh Ferris dancing. John does an okay job of it, but appears a little uncomfortable as to how to make it gel and work. Maybe if he thought of bugs bunny doing ballet it may have helped.
If the show can survive the next couple of months, I would be THRILLED to see the current revival try to get Stamos on board for a 6 month run to take the show up to Jan. 1 2013.
Lillias White makes this song brilliant! Love her!
Lilias White...those pipes are from heaven. I adore her.
Lillias!!! That woman's voice is a gift from god.

This revival is crazy good
I saw Lillias during a recording of Sirius XM Live on Broadway!! She was phenomenal!!
Still epic in 2021 ♥️
And in 2024!
I just died from the amount of awesomeness in that song...
I can totally tell this song is written and composed by the writer of Guys And Dolls
That was great. My fave for this show was this cast
I never missed an episode of "Full House", but my very favorite episodes were the ones John was singing on. He's always had such a beautiful voice!!!
Could not be more adorable!!
I had no idea he was in this revival!!
Lillias White is the star here.
Quite different from the normal version. I love it
que belleza

lovin' the choreography here. :) The version of this with Daniel Radcliffe is also good, from the snippet I saw in another vid.
Seth Rudetsky posted this on his Facebook feed.
i saw this with nick jonas :) john stamos did good to
Lillis, how could you?
1:35 he trips over his line. But otherwise nice. Stamos is incredibly talented.
I saw Matt Broderick originate the role on B’Way, then Stamos follow quite ably...then Ralph Macchio in the LA production of the National Tour!
@sammisuncle Obviously you weren't a fan of Full House :)
