Man, Aces are a physically tough bunch but the Fever played strong. Coach Sides, as you said, needs to spread the shots. She has the shooters to do this. Would like to see more passion from coach Sides, especially to defend her players.
I get the criticism I've seen of Hull not getting shots, or Mitchell disappearing in the second half- in theory. But, like, where do you want those shots to come from? Clark was 7/13 in the second half, which is a good shooting % and one you'll take any day of the week. Dantas was over 50% in the 2nd half. Most of Boston's production came in the 2nd half and she shot well, too. Other than Nalyssa, there's nobody who shot too much, or shot poorly. And there are only so many possessions. It would have been nice if there'd been more balance. But Mitchell was hot in the 1st half and shot a ton. Clark wasn't and didn't. Then the reverse happened in the 2nd. Pretty natural and it's not obvious to me there was any coaching mistake here, at least.
Honestly, other than thinking that Sides needs to keep decreasing Nalyssa's minutes, and get Berger some looks so that you're not relying on a too small 1-2-3 when Lexie's sitting, I'm pretty happy with that game. The Aces shot poorly and outside of a few possessions the Fever were notably better defensively. They sat the 1-2-3 for 16 total minutes and the world didn't end. The Fever's 15 turnovers is pretty much the over/under for a team that plays that fast and good enough that it won't cause them to lose games outright. They battled and make it more and more clear every game that they're not a team that will just go away. If they don't, uncharacteristically, suck at free throws, and just shoot league average, they win that game.

Running that same bum ass play where cc passes it at halfcourt thrn sets a pick down low, slips and goes to perimeter like bruh run somrthing else. Smith is getting torched on defense with no offensive redemption for it. Put dantas or temi in idc whih one. Dantas spreads the floor with the 3ball and temi with the defense. This coach is so bad.
