I love this soundscape the front ensemble is producing.

I love whimsical Tom Rarick’s Front Ensemble writing can be. As I said before, it definitely rivals the Rennicks.

I wish a lot of those elements were more audible in the full production. Maybe it's different in person but I always feel like I can barely hear the front in videos of the full corps, even the mic'd instruments, with the exception of the drum sets. Seeing them live in a few weeks so we'll see

@@willieburke1334 It's so weird, there's always this standard of keeping the pit so low in the mix, but I love when all the chords and accompanying pit textures are nice and full

Love the use of all the different colors in the pit, bowed vibes, vibe motor too, the graduated marimba mallets, all the different hats/shakers/tamb/cajon mixing together, and that metal wheel on the xylo! Not to mention all the cool textures in the drumline!

You guys didn't steel your 2022 Drumline CHAMPIONS! Pure symphony to my ears. Please next year, ask the person speaking in the back to shut up. Your music tells the story, we don't need someone explaining everything or narrating a story on top of your nice music. Music speaks from itself.

really despise the narration so many are doing, takes away from the talent.

      Well, that's just too bad.

I like to compare it to a movie adaptation of a booke. It's like you could've read the book and left all the images left up to your imagination, but the movie doesn't let you imagine how the characters and the setting look and act and all that. That being said, I feel like it works sometimes, maybe if they changed to an easier to hear voice

IMHO there is no place for narration in Drumcorp. This is all about music and music tells it all.

Nearly TWENTY years that narration, electronics, and any key brass has been a thing... get over it or find a new interest.
      Sincerely
A guy who marched in the eighties and nineties.
